Further, in an electromagnetic switch in which the plunger confronted coaxially with the stationary iron core slidably supporting a rod with a movable contact is moved towards the stationary iron core by electromagnetic force, a conically coiled spring is interposed between the plunger and the stationary iron core in such a manner that the spring is substantially coaxial with the plunger and the iron core, so that the playing of the rod is prevented.

    摘要: An engine starter apparatus comprising first and second noncircular gears, a pinion, and a starter motor. The pair of noncircular gears is interposed between a crankshaft and a ring gear of an engine, and when the speed of rotation of the first noncircular gear is kept constant, the second noncircular gear rotates the crankshaft while cyclically causing a change in the angular velocity due to its profile. Since the second noncircular gear is positioned so that the change in the angular velocity caused by its rotation can cancel a change in torque of the crankshaft, the change in the torque of the engine are not transmitted to the starter motor, thereby operating the starter motor at constant current at all times, providing such additional advantages as smaller and lighter starter motor design and reduced noise.

    摘要: An engine starter for an internal combustion engine having an engine ring gear, comprising a pinion gear (8) axially slidable on the rotary shaft (3) between an actuated position in which the pinion gear (8) engages the engine ring gear through the housing opening (6) and an inactuated position in which the pinion disengages from the ring gear. The starter conventionally also comprises a unidirectional clutch (14) for unidirectionally transmitting a rotation of the rotary shaft (3) to the pinion gear (8), and a solenoid switch (18) for energizing the motor (2) and driving the pinion (8) between the actuated and the inactuated positions. A first dust seal ring (22) having a forwardly extending lip (24) between the rotary shaft (3) and the pinion (8) seals therebetween against ingress of any foreign matter. To receive the seal ring (22), the pinion (8) may have an annular cavity (25) or groove so that the lip's inner edge slidably contacts the rotary shaft (3). A second dust seal ring (27) may be disposed between the housing (1) and a cylindrical outer surface of the pinion gear (8) or a unidirectional clutch (14). A third dust seal ring (30) may also be disposed at the front end of the rotary shaft (3) for protecting a bearing surface from dust.

    摘要: A direct current power supply device which generates an alarm signal when a power failure occurs in an alternating current power supply connected as an input to the device. A power failure detector circuit is connected at the input of the device and signals the failure of the AC power supply. In order to compensate for different time delays in the fall of the DC output due to varying loads at the output of the device, a reset signal generating circuit is used which is controllable in accordance with the size of the load. The circuit receives as an input, a signal identifying a power failure from the power failure detector circuit and a signal identifying the load current value from a load current value detector circuit, connected between the load and the AC/DC converter. The reset signal generating circuit, using analog or digital components, will generate a reset signal at a timing determined by the size of the load.
