摘要： A fabric gripper for securing a fabric or covering to a surface comprises an elongate body and a plurality of upwardly protruding barbs on the upper surface of the body. The gripper is formed as one piece and can either be manufactured from a single thermoplastic material or else the body and barbs can be manufactured of first and second thermoplastic materials, respectively, where the second material is harder than the first material. Where the gripper is to be made of first and second materials, a method of manufacture is provided where the second material is injection molded into channels in the body to form the barbs.

The carpet tack strip threshold has a wide central portion which separates opposing cavities designed for receiving and tucking the edges of the carpet from adjoining rooms. Carpet tack strips nailed down through opposing receiving wings secure the carpet along the carpet tack strip threshold. The carpet tack strip threshold provides a smooth walkway across the threshold between adjoining rooms connected by the double doors in hotels and motels.

摘要： An elongate, plastic housing has formed on the upper surface thereof two, spaced, parallel, longitudinally extending grooves the first of which has slidably positioned therein an elongate, metal, tackless carpet securing strip the opposed side edges of which extend slidably beneath elongate flanges that project from opposite sides of the first groove. Nails or the like are employed to secure the strips and the underlying portion of the housing to a floor, with the second groove facing upwardly to accommodate and secure therein the integral rib section of a conventional threshold insert. In a second embodiment a third groove is formed on the surface of the housing slidably to accommodate a second tackless carpet securing strip adjacent the side of the second groove remote from the first groove.

摘要： A fastener for attaching objects such as tow boards to hardened substrates such as a concrete floor is constructed in the form of a driven nail having a head. The shank of the nail is constructed of a plurality of symmetrical hardened prismatic edges, at least three being required for proper resistance to hammering loads. The edges extend from the outer periphery of the head to the driving point; the prisms are joined to form the central axis of the fastener.The construction of the nail is such that all force from driving blows is contained and supported within one or more of the edges, preventing bending of the nail shank at the juncture of nail head and shank, and preventing deformation of the nail under the driving force of a hammer.

摘要： The strips are designed to be manufactured from relatively thin or light gauge metal or plastic; each having an elongate base section designed to be secured by nails and/or adhesive to a floor, and having an offset carpet-gripping section which in one embodiment is designed in use to be hammered or bent downwardly relative to the base section and over the edge of a section of carpeting to secure the latter in place, and which in a second embodiment has formed in its longitudinal edge a plurality of spaced teeth which imbed in the bottom of a carpet to hold its edge in place. In the second embodiment a plurality of longitudinally spaced scallops or dimples are formed in the strip to increase its structural rigidity; and in each embodiment adhesive strips are used to help secure the carpeting to the strips.

摘要： The disclosure relates to a carpet tack strip anchoring means and installation tool and particularly for use in anchoring tack strips relative to wall structures in areas where it is virtually impossible to anchor tack strips to concrete floors due to the fact that in some instances concrete becomes so hard that it is very difficult to nail the tack strips to the concrete in such a manner that the nails penetrate properly without cracking the concrete away. The anchoring means comprising a clip having a normally horizontal portion adapted to rest adjacent to building room floor the horizontal portion having opposite ends provided with respective upstanding portions integral therewith; one of the upstanding portions is provided with an opening through which a nail is projected and this upstanding portion has an integral clip portion disposed in spaced relation from the bottom portion and extending substantially horizontally toward the opposite end of the bottom portion. The said opposite end of the bottom portion has an upstanding portion which has sufficient length to be folded over a tack strip and to thereby form a retaining clip portion which is horizontally disposed over the upper portion of the tack strip.
