Abstract:
A bending press for bending metal sheets, the press comprising a moving top panel and a fixed bottom panel, the bottom panel being constituted by a plate having a top portion and a fixed bottom portion defined by two notches that are symmetrically identical about the transverse midplane of the bottom panel, each notch having a top wall and a bottom wall interconnected by a back wall, and also having an opening situated in the corresponding side edge of the plate, the press being characterized in that each notch is fitted with a displacement member interconnecting the free top portion and the fixed bottom portion of the bottom panel so as to cause the top wall of the notch to move towards the bottom wall thereof, thereby modifying the deformation curve of the free top portion of the bottom panel in controlled manner.
Abstract:
The invention provides a hydraulically operated press brake with a vertically displaceable upper pressure ram member. The pressing force is induced in the region of the two lateral ends thereof. A cooperating stationary ram member is arranged opposite to the movable ram member and is freely suspended in the region of its two lateral ends. The upper movable ram member is subdivided into two portions, whereby the two portions rest on each other at a centrally located contact area. From this contact area, two gaps extend approximately horizontally, both having increasing width from the contact area to the lateral ends of the ram member. The pressing power is induced into the upper ram member portion. Thus, it can be achieved that the upper ram member and the lower ram member are deflected in the same sense under load such that the deflection lines run essentially parallel to each other.
Abstract:
An apparatus for controlling a press brake is advantageously employable for a press brake for which a high operational efficiency and a high working accuracy are required. In response to inputting of working conditions inclusive of a target bending angle for a plate, the apparatus calculates displacement of a load active on a stationary table and a movable table, automatically calculates a quantity of crowning to be adjusted based on results derived from the foregoing calculation and then calculates the present position assumed by the movable in additional consideration of the quantity of crowning to be adjusted, based on results derived from the aforementioned calculations. The press brake accurately bends the plate based on the thus derived quantity of crowing to be adjusted and the present position assumed by the movable table without an occurrence of malfunction of so-called intermediate opening of the bent plate.
Abstract:
A table is composed of two superimposed horizontal plates braced by two superimposed rows of blocks forming wedges associated pairwise. Blocks of a lower row are linked to the upper face of a lower plate which is itself linked to a fixed base of the machine. Blocks of an upper row are linked to the lower face of an upper plate. The faces in contact of each pair of blocks form a fixed angle with the horizontal. Each block of each pair has an essentially semi-cylindrical shape whose generatrices are oriented transversely with respect to the direction of displacement of the movable upper plate. Each of the blocks is located in a cradle of complementary shape formed, respectively, in the upper face of the fixed lower plate and in the lower face of the movable upper plate. Structure is provded to modify and fixed at will the angular position of each block of the lower row independently of the other blocks in the same row.
Abstract:
To crown (deform into a convex state) a die for a press brake (bending press), a number of a pair of upper and lower wedges are arranged between the lower die and the lower table at intervals along the longitudinal direction of the press brake, and simultaneously moved in the lateral direction by an elastic member (plate spring) fitted to each bottom groove formed in the lower wedge. Both free ends of the elastic member is moved by elastic member adjusting means including two sprocket wheels, two tubular nut members, a control motor, etc. To provide a smooth wedge slidable motion, springs are disposed to urge the lower die upward together with a lower die base.
Abstract:
A machine for processing metal in sheet or plate form, especially for bending metal sheets. The machine comprises a frame with a table base on the frame and a ram which is vertically displaceable in relation to the table base. The ram has an upper tool, while a lower tool is disposed on the table base, these two tools cooperating to process the metal therebetween. The lower tool is elastically supported on the table base by means of a plurality of individual resilient supports which are arranged in a row on the table base. A plurality of intermediate parts are inserted between the table base and the supports and said parts are displaceable groupwise out of the effective region of selected supports into a neutral position, so that only the supports lying directly under the metal sheet workpiece to be processed are effective.
Abstract:
A drive system for a machine tool comprises two, at least equally long drive spindles, extending parallel to each other and being structurally identical with regard to their torsional rigidity and their axial rigidity, which are each supported to rotate about a spindle axis, and which can be driven about the spindle axis concerned. Each of the drive spindles has a fixed bearing at one end, acting in its longitudinal direction. Spindle nuts, which are seated on the drive spindles can be moved simultaneously with longitudinal movements in the longitudinal direction of the drive spindles.
