The erected post can be utilized as a fences post, sign post, mail box post, or the like, and can be used for mounting the tube, or the like, that may be intended for receiving delivered items, such as mail and/or newspapers, and the tube includes at least one tab extending from one tube end that is for fitting into a slot that includes at least one hole formed therethrough. The tab hole is for receiving a peg type fastener that is fitted through the hole and blocks withdrawal of the tab from the slot to provide the tube cantilever mounting. The peg type fastener includes an arrangement for inhibiting peg withdrawal from the tab hole, and, in its manufacture, the peg may be weakened to promote shearing thereacross as when a force is applied against the tube as could damage the tube and post, the peg shearing allowing release of the tube tab out of the post slot.

The device includes an insert coupling for attachment to a base end of the snow pole to facilitate its insertion within the tubular opening of the delineator. This insert coupling is configured as a sleeve member having a tubular opening similar in geometric configuration with the external configuration of the snow pole to facilitate snug, friction fit attachment. The sleeve member is formed with an exterior configuration and dimension sufficiently small to enable insertion and retention of the sleeve member therein by means of a tight, frictional fit.

摘要： An elongated flexible tube of resilient plastics material includes an upper end portion and a lower end portion and is capable of being repetitively bent through an angle of ninety degrees and of returning to an upright straight position with the aid of a flexible erecting member within the tube. The upper end portion may be thermally flattened for receiving a panel of reflective material or the reflective material may wrap around the tube. In one embodiment, the lower end portion of the tube projects into a hole within the ground and carries outwardly projecting spring fingers which positively lock into the ground. In another embodiment, a molded plastic base member releasably retains the lower end portion of the tube and is adapted to be cemented to a roadway surface. Also disclosed is a tool for quickly forming a series of holes within the ground to receive the lower end portions of the tubes.

摘要： An attachment that provides pivoted support for a roadway delineator on a standard roadway delineator post. The attachment makes use of the delineator post as an offset support at a position clear of the roadway, thereby avoiding damage to the post by vehicles or roadway maintenance equipment. A bracket mounts an elongated delineator support arm to the upright delineator post. The support arm extends from the post toward the roadway where, at an inner end, the standard delineator reflector is mounted. The elongated delineator support arm is pivotably mounted to the bracket so it will swing about an inclined axis in response to impact with a vehicle moving along the roadway. The pivot axis for the delineator support arm is inclined so that support arm and delineator will return to the extended position alongside the roadway after being struck. An indentation is provided on the bracket to releasably locate the delineator support arm at its extended position so the delineator reflector will not be provided from its normal extended position by normal causes such as wind.

The console traffic direction post comprises a staking carrier in which is placed a vertical support post connected with a horizontal arm carrier. A downwardly hanging reflector--connected to the horizontal arm carrier and an upwardly extending vertically placed direction stick is also attached to the horizontal arm carrier. The vertically placed direction stick is located at an end of the horizontal arm carrier opposite the locus of attachment of said horizontal arm carrier to the vertical support post. The hanging reflector is located proximate to said end of the horizontal arm carrier where the direction stick is located. Interconnection of the horizontal arm carrier and vertical support post is effected utilizing one or more plastic safety retaining members capable of shearing upon impact.
