    摘要: The present invention relates to a suction device with telescopic evacuating pipes which includes a cantilever, a plurality of glide pieces, a pipe-collecting piece and a plurality of telescopic evacuating pipes. The cantilever is provided with a glide groove at both sides thereof. The glide pieces are movable along the glide groove of the cantilever and are positioned by fastening knobs. Each of the glide pieces has a vacuum sucker 132 at the bottom thereof. A first connector is arranged at one side of the glide pieces and used to connect through the internal piping with the vacuum sucker. The pipe-collecting piece is installed at the inner end of the cantilever and is used to join second connectors in connection with a vacuum generator through hosepipes. One end of the telescopic evacuating pipe is fastened at the outer end of the pipe-collecting piece while the other end is connected to the first connector. Accordingly, the evacuating pipes can adjust its length in accordance with different arrangement positions of vacuum suckers.

The wand includes a primary tube defining a hollow interior portion and a secondary tube slidably disposed within the primary tube. The primary tube includes a fitting for attaching the wand to a water source. The secondary tube includes a connector suitable for receiving a fluid dispensing nozzle. The secondary tube also defines a portion to allow fluid to pass between the water source and the connector. An adjustment collar attached to a distal end of the primary tube slidably engages the secondary and may be used to fix the position of the secondary tube relative to the primary tube. The connector may be attached to a ball and joint coupling to allow for a pivoting nozzle and a quick-connect coupling to allow for easily changing nozzles to meet various watering needs.

    摘要: A plumbing tool includes an elongated hollow shaft and a resilient member attached to the shaft adjacent a shaft end. The resilient member extends radially outward and is sized to closely fit within a pipe inner diameter. Once the pipe has been cut, the tool is forced into the pipe end and the resilient member closely fits within the pipe inner diameter to block fluid flow. As the shaft is hollow, fluid flow is diverted through the shaft. A valve is then passed over the tool to engage the pipe end. As the fluid is being diverted through the tool, the valve is then soldered to the pipe without concern for the heat sink effect of fluid passage through the pipe. Once the valve has been properly soldered to the pipe end, the tool is simply pulled through the valve and removed. Capping of the pipe end with the valve is therefore rapidly achieved with minimal disruption to the users.

    摘要: Various joints within a duct assembly to allow relative movement between portions of a fluid system which are interconnected by this duct assembly are disclosed. This duct assembly is particularly suited for interconnecting a rocket fuel tank and rocket engine of a space travel vehicle. In any case, this duct assembly includes a pair of duct suctions, each of which includes a gimbal on an end thereof. The opposite ends of these two duct sections are disposed in a telescope-like arrangement with a slip joint therebetween to allow the duct sections to move at least generally axially relative to each other. This slip joint includes a pair of longitudinally spaced bushings, between which are disposed a plurality of annular seals. The bushings inhibit contain between the two duct sections by maintaining the same in spaced relation.

    摘要: A method of forming a metal-to-metal seal in high pressure applications with low contact stress. Firstly, providing a first elongate pressure containment member having a surface of revolution. Secondly, providing a second elongate pressure containment member having an exterior surface, an interior surface, a remote end, and a thin walled extension sleeve having a first end and a second end. The first end of the thin walled extension sleeve is conjoined with the second elongate pressure member at the remote end. The second elongate pressure containment member is of a greater thickness than the sleeve. Thirdly, coupling the first elongate pressure containment member and the second elongate pressure containment member with the sleeve positioned in close relation to the surface of revolution. Fourthly, placing the first elongate pressure containment member and the second elongate pressure containment member in an environment in which fluid pressure tends to cause a flow of fluids from the second end to the first end of the sleeve along an interfacial region between the sleeve and the surface of revolution. Fluid pressure tends to constrict and set up a pressure gradient which promotes sealing along the interfacial region.
