Abstract:
A telephonic device includes at least one control element in the form of, or positioned in a configuration on the control device corresponding to, a part of a face. The control element performs a function of the device associated with the part of the face. In certain embodiments, the at least one control element is in the shape and/or position of a mouth for answering an incoming telephone call, placing an outgoing telephone call, activating a microphone, and/or performing mute/unmute functions. In additional embodiments, the at least one control element is in the shape and/or position of an eye for display of one or more stored numbers. In additional embodiments, the at least one control element is in the shape and/or position of an ear for adjusting volume.
Abstract:
An apparatus for providing a card application toolkit command for reporting terminal environmental information may include at least one processor and at least one memory storing computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus or another apparatus to perform at least providing a command associated with a card application toolkit, from a user identity module of a mobile terminal, to direct the mobile terminal to provide environmental condition information to the user identity module, receiving the environmental condition information via a response to the command, and performing a function with respect to the environmental condition information.
Abstract:
The user interaction system comprises a portable pointing device (101) connected to a camera (102) and sending pictures to a digital signal processor (120), capable of recognizing an object (130) and a command given by the user (100) by moving the pointing device (101) in a specific way, and controlling an electrical apparatus (110) on the basis of this recognition.
Abstract:
Systems, devices and methods related to a user interface device for use in a pool/spa control system are provided. In accordance with one embodiment, there is provided a user interface device for a pool/spa control system that includes a processor and a memory for storing application programs that are performed by the processor. The user interface device also includes a connection port for interfacing with an external storage medium having one or more digital images and a display interface. The user interface device is configured to display the one or more digital images from the external storage medium in the display interface when the user interface device is otherwise idle with respect to sending instructions to the pool/spa control system.
Abstract:
A system for multifunctional remote control is disclosed. The system comprises a remote control (100) for connecting mechanically and electrically with a cartridge (200), reading data stored in the cartridge through the first connection unit (110), storing the read data, and setting the registration of use; and a cartridge (200) for mechanically and electronically connecting with the remote control (100), receiving data from a user computer (10), storing the received data, and transmitting/receiving infrared signal to/from a controlled product.
Abstract:
The invention provides the ability to upgrade or update a remotely controlled system without removal or replacement of the existing remote control receiver. A preferred embodiment utilizes all or part of the existing wireless remote control in a wireless remote adapter cartridge that electrically and/or mechanically actuates the existing remote control. The wireless remote adapter cartridge is actuated by a wireless receiver that receives commands from a wireless user remote control. In one embodiment, the invention permits one wireless user remote control to control several disparate remotely controlled systems.

Abstract:
A hand-held electronic device having a remote control application user interface that functions to displays programming related information to a user.
Abstract:
A remote control device is which key use is monitored. A command key, representative of an appliance function, may be correlated to a target appliance that is determined, as a function of the monitored key use, to be the most likely intended recipient of a command to perform that appliance function. An activity key may also be programmed so as to perform a series of actions that are representative of a sequence of monitored key uses.
