Abstract: Electronic devices in a system may be controlled by a user. The user may have one or more wearable devices or other devices. A user's device may be used by the user in identifying a target electronic device of interest among the electronic devices in the system. The target electronic device may be identified using a gaze tracking sensor that senses the user's point-of-gaze, an orientation sensor that detects a direction in which the user's device is pointed, or other sensor circuitry. Visual feedback, audio feedback, and/or haptic feedback may be provided to the user to confirm which electronic device has been identified as a target electronic device of interest. User input may be gathered by sensors and used in adjusting operating parameters in the target electronic device of interest. Health monitoring operations and other operations may also be performed.

Abstract: A method for configuring a user device to remotely control an architectural structural covering. The method comprises receiving a signal from the architectural structural covering, the signal relays position information for the architectural structural covering. The method further comprises associating the signal with an entry in a list of one or more entries displayed on a user interface of the user device, the entry comprises a representation of the architectural structural covering having a displayed position that matches position information from the signal. The method further comprises receiving user input via a position control for the representation of the architectural structural covering. The method further comprises based on the user input, sending an adjusted position instruction to the architectural structural covering. The method further comprises changing the displayed position of the representation of the architectural structural covering to mirror a change in a physical position of the architectural structural covering.

Abstract: Technologies for adaptive bandwidth reduction for an Internet of Things (IoT) gateway device are disclosed. The IoT gateway device receives data from one or more sensors, and determines a mathematical model to represent the sensor data. Certain aspects of the mathematical model used, such as the quantity of coefficients and the precision of the coefficients are determined based on the sensor data. For example, if the sensor data is within a normal range, a relatively small number of coefficients might be used, but if the sensor data is past or near an alert threshold, a larger number of coefficients might be used, which allows for the behavior of the sensor data to be better represented.

Abstract: A personal digital key (e.g., which can be carried by a human) contains a memory having different service blocks. Each service block is accessible by a corresponding service block access key. As the personal digital key (PDK) moves around, it is detected by sensors. The sensors report position data, thus enabling location tracking of the PDK. The sensors also provide a data path to various applications. An application that has access to a service block access key can therefore access the corresponding service block on the PDK. The sensors themselves may also contain service block access keys.

Such a system may include a plurality of edge devices each comprising sensor components and collectively forming a mesh network, for measuring the local physical environment within stored crops and, for example, transmitting the measurements to a service from within the crop storage area.
