摘要： A buckle connector for releasably connecting a first object to a second object is provided. The buckle connector may include a first clip member and a connector for connecting it to a first object, and a second clip member and a connector for connecting it to a second object. Legs defining opposed grooves are provided on the first clip member and the second clip member is receivable in the grooves. A stop surface is provided on the second clip member and is engageable with a stop surface on the first clip member to prevent relative movement between the first and second clip members, in a first direction. A strap may be connected to the second clip member so that the strap may be positioned in the grooves in the first and second legs on the first clip member before the second clip member is positioned in the grooves.

摘要： An improved safety seat buckling system and method of using the same for facilitating placement of a person into a safety seat is disclosed. A series of slots or fasteners placed on the armrest of the safety seat are fitted to interface with the buckle male end portions of the harness assembly. By placing each buckle male end portion into the corresponding slot, placement of a person into the seat prior to securing the person into the seat becomes easier. Less time is required to secure the person into the safety seat, and the need for the person to lean forward while securing the person into the seat is eliminated.

摘要： A seat belt buckle assembly for resisting unintentional opening during rapid acceleration or deceleration. The seat belt buckle assembly includes a female buckle, a male tongue plate, a pawl assembly, a spring and a load rate sensitive foam member. The female buckle is a casing with an open end that is adapted to receive the substantially planar male tongue plate provided with a slot. The pawl assembly housed within the casing includes a pawl that fits within the slot. The spring disposed between casing and pawl assembly urges the pawl into slot and elastically deforms when subjected to force. The load rate sensitive foam member interposed between spring and pawl assembly transmits load applied on pawl to spring for facilitating compression of spring and therefore unlatching of the buckle in case of gradual loading, but inhibiting involuntary compression of spring by absorbing most of the impulsive loading.

The seat belt buckle device includes an outer case into which a tongue plate is inserted, a latch member that latches the tongue plate, a slideable release button, and a counterweight that resists sliding of the release button. The counterweight includes a shaft that engages a bearing groove formed in the release button and receives the force that rotates the counterweight due to the sliding of the release button. The rotating shaft has a recessed portion in its outer circumferential surface with this portion being configured to come into contact with the bearing groove of the release button when the release button slides into the outer case.

摘要： When a pretensioner is activated, a buckle main body experiences abrupt acceleration in a direction toward webbing. An inertial amass body of a stopper member is then rotated toward a frame member against an urging force of a torsion spring urged through a lever member. Further, the lever member abutting on the stopper member is also rotated toward the frame member, making each projecting piece face each abutment portion of a slide button. Further, when the slide button is slidingly moved against an urging force of a button spring, each abutment portion makes contact with each projecting piece of the lever member, stopping the slide movement of the slide button. Thus, unintentional disengagement between a latch and a tongue plate can be prevented.
