摘要： A collapsible structure connection system including apparatus for connecting rod segments and apparatus for holding and organizing rod segments. An apparatus for connecting rod segments, such as a pole tip and final rod segment, or two rod segments, may have a pair of mated rod segments and a spring-loaded push-button locking mechanism, with the rod segments connected using an elastomeric connector attached to each rod segment at adjacent, opposing ends. The elastomeric connector may be attached to and held in place against the rod segment using an attachment assembly that may be threaded or unthreaded, and that may mate, or not mate, within the rod segment upon securing the attachment assembly to the rod segment. The spring-loaded push-button locking mechanism may have a spring-loaded push-button seated on a dowel of a male body, and a cavity aperture traversing a dowel cavity of a female body.

The controller generates and communicates a command including the associated location to a motor, which receives the command and moves the light sensor to the associated location. The controller moves a light sensor about an elevation axis, determines a peak intensity value and corresponding elevation location, and moves the light sensor to the corresponding elevation location.

摘要： A collapsible structure connection system and method including an apparatus having a pair of mated ferrules, at least one pivoting pin and at least one slider arm. Each ferrule couples to a rod segment of the structure, the ferrules connecting the rod segments when mated, but allowing the rod segments to rotate into a collapsed structure. The apparatus has a locking system in one example embodiment. The systems include a bracket, at and at least one locking device to fix the rod segments in a preferred configuration. An alternate apparatus and collapsible structure connection system includes a pair of mated ferrules each having a lengthwise slot, a connector arm and pivoting pins. The connector arm rotates around the pivoting pins within the slots of the ferrules, allowing the ferrules to rotate into various positions when selectively connecting and collapsing rod segments.

摘要： A self-closing collapsible umbrella is disclosed and an example of a three-fold umbrella is described. The umbrella includes a central shaft including a first section that includes a handle carrying an actuation button. A positioning seat that receives a retention block arranged therein is provided between the first section and a second section of the shaft and between the second section and a third section of the shaft. As such, the umbrella is opened manually to have the second section extending and positioned by the retention block engaging an upper end of the first section, and the third section is positioned by being retained at the upper end of the second section. To close the umbrella, a collapsing ring is depressed to drive a rotation block of a control seat to release the engagement of the retention block. Collapsing springs arranged on umbrella ribs apply a force to retract the sections of the central shaft to thereby complete the collapse of the umbrella.

The central shaft unit forms a raised channel on one side of a third shaft segment and a pulley is pivotally mounted to a lower portion of the raised channel. A second shaft segment has a top to which an internal plug including a pulley is fixed and includes a first pull rope having an end fixed to a bullet-head member and an opposite end extending upward to warp around the pulley of the internal plug, projecting through a sideway slot, extending downward to wrap around the pulley inside the third shaft segment for upward extension to fix to a top end of the third shaft segment. A second pull rope has an end fixed to the internal plug and an opposite end extending across a top cap to project outward to fix to the runner.

The umbrella further includes first and second pull wires. The first pull wire has one end coupled to the lower internal plug and the other end connected to the upper nest after the wire wraps around pulleys on the upper and lower nests. The second pull wire has an upper end connected to the fastener and a lower end connected to a runner on a handle so that the runner drives the fastener.
