摘要： An electric fan assembly for household use convertible between use in a window and use on a desk or floor has a substantially rectangular, one-piece, molded polypropylene support member formed from a first support panel, a second support panel, and a pair of living hinges connecting the first and second panels to one another along a pivot axis perpendicular to the top and bottom edges of the support member. The first support panel is constructed to provide a mounting for an electric fan motor, a venturi ring assembly including an intake grill, and an exhaust grill. In use, the two support panels may lie flat for use in a window or may be pivoted about the axis of the living hinges for use on a deck or floor. Extenders are provided for extending the effective width of said fan assembly for use in relatively wide windows and includes secondary extender plates connected to the extenders by lost motion for increasing the length of extension obtainable. The exhaust grill is optionally mounted for rotation.

摘要： An axial-flow fan, particularly a small fan which is axially compact, with a scroll plate surrounding the impeller and whose inner contour has a cylindrical configuration in the vicinity of the axial median plane and extends both towards the inlet side and the outlet side in a polygonal, particularly square profile accompanied by the formation of corner areas, and with a central, coaxial core formed by the drive motor, the impeller hub and the mounting flange for the drive motor; the core thereby has an annular surface conically tapering towards the inlet side face whose axial length is at least one-third of the hub length; with respect to the axial median plane, the scroll plate is asymmetrical in the corner areas and is made cylindrical over a longer distance from the axial median plane to the inlet side than to the outlet side.

摘要： An air ventilator for ventilating indoor air to the environment comprising a motor provided with a shaft, a rotor mounted on said shaft, a plurality of fan blades pivotally attached to the rotor, a rotating circular plate having a plurality of sliding slots and a plurality of connecting holes mounted on said shaft of the motor, a fixed circular plate connected to the rotating circular plate with pins and mounted on the shaft of said motor, centrifugal weight members disposed between the fixed circular plate and the rotating circular plate, and a torsion coil spring connecting the centrifugal weight member with the rotating circular plate for elastically supporting the weight member, whereby when the motor is operating, the centrifugal weight members engage the rotating circular plate, apply a circumferential directional force thereto, and angularly displace the circular plate, said displacement being transmitted to the fan blades for ventilating the inside air to the environment; and when the motor is not operating the centrifugal weight members return to their original position by the torsion coil spring, thereby closing all air-passages between the fan blades.

摘要： Two anti-backdraft shutters are each supported in an exhaust fan assembly casing on a set of upper and lower parallel support arms. Outer ends of each set of these arms are pivotably mounted in the casing in closely adjacent relation to the other set on substantially vertical axes in closely adjacent relation to an exhaust fan motor and between the motor and an intake port defining the intake end of the casing. The shutters can move between an open position in almost parallel relation to each other with the fan-motor in between under the action of air being exhausted, and a closed position where the shutters close off the entire intake port. A coil spring urges the shutters to move toward closed condition.
