摘要： A heat exchanger for heat exchange between at least two fluids includes a plurality of heat exchange elements each having at least one fluid-guiding path for conducting at least one of the fluids through. The heat exchanger has a cylindrical shape or substantially cylindrical shape with a cylinder axis around which the heat exchange elements are adjacently arranged. At lease a region of each of the heat exchange elements forms an outline structure at least substantially like one of a triangular cylinder, a trapezoidal cylinder, a circle-sector cylinder, and an annulus-sector cylinder. As a result of adjacent arrangement of the heat exchange elements, the heat exchanger or at least a region of the heat exchanger has an outline structure at least substantially like one of a polygonal cylinder, a polygonal hollow cylinder, a circular cylinder, and annular cylinder. The cylindrical shape of the heat exchanger may alternatively be a cone frustum. The heat exchanger may be incorporated into an air device.

摘要： An automated cooling system and method for energy efficient use with a building structure by adjusting operational parameters is provided. The automated cooling system can adjust operational parameters in response to conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity) detected by sensors located at one or more strategically selected locations inside or outside the building structure. The automated cooling system can ramp speeds of a motor that rotates fan blades in response to changes in the air temperature in the building structure so as to maintain a desired temperature without switching on and off the motor to preserve fan blade inertia.

The dimensions of the dispersion pattern may be varied by moving the air moving device toward or away from the floor, and/or by changing the angles of the stator vanes within the nozzle assembly.

摘要： A tapered flexible conduit and a ventilation system incorporating the same. The conduit is arranged to extend between a register and a fan assembly, such as in a whole house fan (WHF) system. The conduit includes a flexible inner liner surrounded by a flexible outer liner. The flexible inner liner has a length of helically formed wire coupled to a flexible membrane. The flexible outer liner includes an insulative layer to provide acoustic baffling for an airflow established by the fan assembly passing through the conduit. The tapered conduit has a frusto-conical shape along an overall length of the conduit to sealingly engage differently sized inlet and exhaust ports of the register and the fan assembly, respectively. The collapsible nature of the respective inner and outer liners reduces bulk during shipment and accommodates a variety of different configurations during installation.
