    摘要: A method and system for cleaning an array of solar panels. The system can include an applicator apparatus configured with a plurality of cleaning devices, and an automatic position system (APS) configured with the applicator apparatus. The APS can include a first and second sensor coupled to the applicator apparatus. A controller coupled to the first and second sensor devices can be configured to adjust a position of the applicator apparatus to maintain the plurality of cleaning devices in a direction facing a solar panel to facilitate a removal of an undesired material from the solar panel, while the applicator apparatus is moved from a first position to a second position. A mobile vehicle can be configured with the applicator apparatus to move along a row of the array of solar panels to perform the method for cleaning.

    摘要: An autonomous solar collector cleaning device includes at least one main shaft, a first driver attached to a first end of the at least one main shaft, and a second driver attached to a second end of the at least one main shaft. The first and second drivers propel the cleaning device along a surface of the solar collector. A first sensor is attached to the first driver to detect an edge of the solar collector, and a second sensor is attached to the second driver to detect the edge of the solar collector. A control circuit maintains alignment of the cleaning device with respect to the solar collector based on outputs from the first and second sensors.

    摘要: A mechanical device for cleaning a reflective glass surface is described. In one example, the glass surface is a heliostat mirror. The device includes a cleaning head and a blade assembly. In one example, the cleaning head includes an elongated base member and having a cleaning pad. The cleaning blade assembly includes a cleaning blade. The blade is mounted to the base member and is moveable between a first engaged position that causes the blade of the blade assembly to come into contact with the reflective glass surface and a second disengaged position that causes the blade of the blade assembly to come out of contact with the glass surface. A method of cleaning a glass surface is also disclosed.
