    摘要: An x-ray apparatus including an x-ray source with a primary radiation diaphragm attached thereto has a luminescent foil disposed in the interior of either the x-ray source or the primary radiation diaphragm at a location so that the x-ray beam is incident thereon. Interaction of the luminescent foil with the x-ray beam causes the foil to emit light, which is conducted to an exterior of the apparatus by an optical waveguide. The light is therefore visible at a location at the exterior of the unit, such as in the housing, as a reliable indicator that x-rays are actually being generated.

    摘要: An alternating-current voltage of a commercial power supply is converted to a direct-current voltage by a rectifier and the output direct-current voltage of the rectifier is converted to an alternating-current voltage again by a DC/AC inverter. The alternating-current voltage is boosted by a transformer up to an intermediate voltage (e.g., 1-20 KV). The output voltage of the transformer is supplied through the slip-ring provided between a frame stationary section and a frame rotating section of a voltage multiplier provided within the rotating section to be multiplied to a high voltage (e.g., .+-.60-.+-.70 KV). Outputs of the voltage multiplier are supplied to the anode and cathode of an X-ray tube. A voltage multiplier for producing an anode supply voltage and a voltage multiplier for producing a cathode supply voltage are constructed in separate units. The two voltage multiplier units and the X-ray tube unit are disposed within a housing of the rotating section shaped like a ring at equal angular intervals of 120.degree.. The X-ray tube unit contains a protective resistor. The protective resistor is connected in at least one of positions between the anode of the X-ray tube and an anode voltage supply terminal, between a center metal of the X-ray tube and a center metal terminal and between the cathode of the X-ray tube and a cathode voltage supply terminal.

    摘要: A switch mechanism for an image intensifier hood in an x-ray diagnostics system is connected to a motor for moving the x-ray image intensifier toward and away from an examination subject. If the hood inadvertently comes into contact with the examination subject or a technician, the hood is displaced thereby actuating the switch mechanism and disengaging the motor to stop movement of the x-ray image intensifier, thereby avoiding injury to the examination subject and technician and avoiding damage to the x-ray image intensifier. The switch mechanism is constructed such that actuation thereof occurs upon the presence of forces acting on the hood in the direction of the luminescent screen surface or a direction perpendicular thereto, and each intermediate direction. The hood is provided with a number of such switch mechanisms, each switch mechanism including a lever having one end for actuating an electronic switch, and an opposite end disposed at an obtuse angle with respect to the other end which presses against a beveled cam on the inside surface of the hood, which displaces the lever upon the occurrence of pressure against the hood. The hood and switch mechanisms are attached to the front of the x-ray image intensifier by a ring, and the lever for each switch mechanism is pivotably mounted for movement around an axis extending parallel to a tangent of this ring.

    摘要: Current limit protection is provided to ensure that the current flow within the transistor inverter does not exceed a predetermined safe level to thereby cause damage to the various components such as the transistor inverters. The current in the primary of the transformer is sensed and a representative signal is compared with a reference signal to provide a digital output indicating whether a safe limit has been exceeded. A logic network then operates on the output signal to shut down or reduce the system operation accordingly. In the event of a shut-down, current decay is accommodated by shutting off only the top transistors in the inverter diagonals so as to thereby allow the remaining current to flow in the bottom transistors and diodes.

    摘要: A system for measuring radiation doses in radiotherapy comprises two identical metering networks energized in parallel from a common radiation source, each network including an integrating amplifier whose time constant is variable by the short-circuiting of an input resistor. A manually or automatically reversible switch selectively foreshortens the time constant of one or the other amplifier whereby the corresponding metering network controls the cutoff of the radiation source whenever the emitted radiant energy reaches a predetermined value. The other network, acting as a backup, takes over the radiation cutoff upon failure of the controlling network; this takeover may be indicated by a set of signal lamps jointly controlled by the reversing switch and by a counting unit of the standby network.
