Abstract: An optical fiber connector assembly comprises at least one connector having a latching arm for coupling to an adapter, and a remote release tab having a protrusion configured to cooperate with the adapter to depress said latching arm when the remote release tab is pulled relative to the adapter. The optical fiber connector assembly may further be configured to have a deformable region at one end of the pull tab operatively connector to the latch arm assembly for releasing the connector from the adapter.

Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein are directed to a Network system including: a connector comprising a housing comprising a groove running widthwise on a surface of the housing; and a push-pull tab comprising a complementary groove, wherein the push-pull tab is detachably connected to the housing; and a receiver device comprising one or more ports for receiving the connector, the one or more ports having an interchangeable anchor device including a first portion and a second portion; wherein the groove is configured to receive the first portion of the interchangeable anchor device when the connector is inserted into the receiving element, and wherein the complimentary groove is configured to receive the second portion of the interchangeable anchor device when the connector is inserted into the receiving element, the push-pull tab being configured to disengage the second portion of the interchangeable anchor device from the complementary groove when the push-pull tab is moved in a direction away from the connector, thereby disengaging the first portion of the interchangeable anchor device from the grove of the connector. Abstract: An optical fiber connector assembly comprising an MPO connector and a push-pull tab. The connector may have an outer housing and an inner housing extending beyond a rear end of the outer housing, the outer housing having a first protrusion and the inner housing having a second protrusion positioned at a distance from the first protrusion. The push-pull tab may comprise a main body and an extender coupled to the main body, the main body having a plurality of walls forming a passageway configured to receive the connector, the plurality of walls including a first wall having a window sized according to the distance between the first and second protrusions and configured to receive the first and second protrusions. In another embodiment, the push-pull tab may comprise a first piece and a second piece configured to couple to each other to form a passageway for receiving the connector.

Abstract: Connector assemblies having an adjustable polarity are described. For example, at least two ferrules may be arranged in a housing of the connector assembly within independent frame plugs in a certain polarity. A top portion of the housing may be removed to allow access to the frame plugs. Accordingly, an installer may open the housing, switch the polarity of the ferrules, and then re-couple the top portion to the housing. In another example, the connector assembly may include a latch that may rotate about the connector assembly from a first polarity position to a second polarity position. The connector assembly may include a compression element that may facilitate the rotation of the latch when the compression element is compressed. In this manner, the latch may be rotated to a different polarity position to allow the connector assembly to be connected to an adapter using a different polarity.

Abstract: Optical fiber connectors for MT/MPO type ferrule assemblies are disclosed, having an overall connector length less than about 32 mm, for example, an overall length of about 18.5 mm for non-reinforced optical fiber cables, and an overall length of about 23.5 mm for reinforced optical fiber cables. In one embodiment, a connector comprises a ferrule assembly, and a housing coupled to the ferrule assembly and configured to couple to an adapter corresponding to the ferrule assembly. The connector further includes a lock coupled to the housing and configured to rotate so as to lock and unlock the housing from said adapter. An interface member coupled to the housing may include a stop configured to limit rotation of the lock. The interface member may include a reinforcement portion for reinforcing optical fiber cables.

Abstract: A multi-polarity fiber optic adapter is configured to provide a plurality of connector polarity options. The adapter includes a housing and a plurality of ports, each port configured to receive and establish an optical connection with a ferrule of a fiber optic connector. The adapter further includes a plurality of first-polarity connector clip assemblies positioned within the housing such that, when the fiber optic connector is inserted into the adapter in a first position, the fiber optic connector is engaged with the first-polarity connector clip assemblies, thereby establishing a first-polarity connection. The adapter also includes a plurality of second-polarity connector clip assemblies positioned within the housing such that, when the fiber optic connector is inserted into the adapter in a second position, the fiber optic connector is engaged with the plurality of second-polarity connector clip assemblies, thereby establishing a second-polarity connection.
