    Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards customizable traffic zones that work with wireless communication network, and can be configured based on various data, including traffic data. A vehicle and/or wireless communication network user device within the traffic zone facilitate monitoring of the vehicle/user device. Pricing can be based on entering and exiting the zone, dwell time in the zone, user profile data and other factors such as time of day, day of week and so forth. A customizable traffic zone can be configured and reconfigured as needed, such as to expand or contract a zone, exclude an area, and so forth. User devices can be targeted, including geo-fencing for warning users about to enter a traffic zone that charges for usage, or to provide other relevant messages.

    Abstract: A base station device can transmit data via multiple data channels to a single user equipment device. Each of the multiple data channels can be configured and scheduled via respective downlink control channels to the user equipment device. In an embodiment, the first data channel can be mapped to multiple layers, with a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) assigned based on the average channel quality indicator (CQI) of the layers. One or more of the layers can have a higher CQI however, capable of supporting an additional transmission. The base station device can then facilitate establishing a second data channel to the layer with the higher CQI. The MCS assigned to the second data traffic channel can be based on the CQI of the layer, or based on a difference between the average CQI of the layers and the CQI of the layer.

    Abstract: A method includes determining that a prioritized vehicle plans to traverse an intersection and receiving sensor data from a plurality of sources in a vicinity of the intersection. The method also includes, based on the sensor data, determining a traffic solution to enable the prioritized vehicle to traverse the intersection, the traffic solution identifying a traffic lane and, based on the traffic solution, controlling a traffic light to cause traffic in the traffic lane to disperse and controlling a second traffic light to instruct traffic in an adjacent traffic lane to stop. The method includes instructing the prioritized vehicle to travel via the traffic lane. The traffic in the traffic lane and the traffic in the adjacent traffic lane are traveling in a same direction.

    Abstract: A base station device can transmit data via multiple data channels to a single user equipment device. Each of the multiple data channels can be configured and scheduled via respective downlink control channels to the user equipment device. In an embodiment, the downlink control information and data can be processed in the transmitter via separate coding structures, and then the separate channel data can be combined for transmission to the mobile equipment. The data channels can use overlapping resource elements, and the receiver can use interference cancellation to remove interference from the subsequent data channel after decoding the data from the first data channel. In other embodiments, the data channels can be associated with different beamforming matrices, demodulation reference signal ports, constellation points and resource elements.
