摘要: A method of masking tonal noise from a wind turbine. The wind turbine has a noise generator and a rotor-nacelle-assembly (RNA). The RNA comprises a nacelle and a rotor configured to rotate about a rotor axis with a horizontal projection. The method comprises: feeding a drive signal into the noise generator so that the noise generator emits directional masking noise, wherein the directional masking noise at least partially masks tonal noise from the wind turbine and points in a masking direction with a horizontal projection. The horizontal projection of the masking direction points away from the horizontal projection of the rotor axis.

摘要: A method of cooling a wind turbine. A cooling system is operated with a first setpoint temperature to cool the wind turbine over a first period. The method comprises measuring a temperature of the wind turbine over the first period to obtain temperature measurements; allocating each of the temperature measurements to a temperature range, wherein one or more of the temperature ranges are critical temperature ranges; and for each critical temperature range, comparing a parameter indicative of a number of the temperature measurements allocated to the critical temperature range with a threshold; selecting a second setpoint temperature on the basis of the comparison(s); and operating the cooling system with the second setpoint temperature over a second period. An equivalent method is also disclosed in which a power setting of the wind turbine is changed on the basis of the comparison(s).

摘要: A method for operating a cluster of a plurality of wind turbines is disclosed. For each of the wind turbines, one or more parameter values of a parameter being indicative for a condition occurring at the wind turbine are derived, based the measurements obtained by the wind turbine. In the case that a derived parameter value for a specific wind turbine exceeds a trigger value, measures for mitigating an effect of the condition at the specific wind turbine are initiated. The derived parameter values for the wind turbines of the cluster of wind turbines are compared to an expected distribution of the parameter values. In the case that a distribution of the derived parameter values differs from the expected distribution of the parameter values, the trigger value is adjusted, and the adjusted trigger value is subsequently applied when comparing the derived parameter values to the trigger value.

摘要: Aspects of the present invention relate to methods for controlling active power output of a wind turbine generator in response to a frequency event on a power network to which the wind turbine generator is connected, wherein the active power output of the wind turbine generator is limited to be below an upper active power limit and/or above a lower active power limit. The methods comprise determining and dispatching active power references to a controller of the wind turbine generator for controlling the wind turbine generator. The methods operate to ensure that the value of the active power reference immediately after the frequency event is within the allowable active power range, thereby avoiding any mismatch between the reference and the output that may cause a delay in returning to normal operation.

Limit cycles are detected when a number of cut-in transitions or a number of cut-out transitions are detected. A cut-in transition is when the wind turbine fails starting up despite having the wind speed or rotor speed normally required to enter a power producing operation mode. A cut-out transition is occurring when the wind turbine is falling out of power producing operation mode after having entered the power producing operation mode.

The heat exchanger (48) includes at least two cooling panels (58) in non-planar relation with each other. The at least two cooling panels (50) may also be pivotably coupled to each other. A method of assembling a cooler (38) is also disclosed.

Each frame element is slidably connected to at least one of the sliding rails, and the frame elements and the sliding rails are interconnected to form a scissor structure. An upwardly directed lifting force applied by a hoisting mechanism at connecting points at or near positions where the frame elements are connected to the sliding rails, in combination with gravity working on the frame structure, causes the frame elements to slide along the sliding rails, thereby causing the scissor structure to contract or expand to adjust a diameter of the frame structure to an outer diameter of the tower structure having the apparatus mounted thereon.
