Abstract:
An optocoupler system includes a buffer, isolation, and a detector. The system includes a current transfer ratio (CTR) with a temperature coefficient. The buffer includes a light source that generates light that passes through the isolation. A detector receives light that passes through the isolation and generates an output signal based on the received light. A current transfer ratio (CTR) temperature coefficient compensation mechanism is provided that generates a base signal with a temperature coefficient that compensates the temperature coefficient of the CTR.
Abstract:
Certain exemplary embodiments can comprise a fault detection system, which can comprise a microprocessor. The microprocessor can be configured to automatically generate an output signal to an output pin responsive to an input signal indicative of an arc fault. The output signal can be configured to trip a circuit breaker.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a current source circuit having a reference resistor produces first, second and third bias currents that vary with manufacturing variances of the current compensation resistor. An input amplification stage includes a transconductance stage biased by the first bias current, a first transimpedance amplifier (TIA) biased by the second bias current, and a first feedback resistor coupled between the first TIA's input and output. The input of the first TIA is coupled to an output of the transconductance stage. An output amplification stage is biased by the third bias current and has an input coupled to an output of the first TIA. A second feedback resistor is coupled between the output of the output amplification stage and the input of the transconductance stage. The reference resistor and first and second feedback resistors are formed using a common manufacturing process.
Abstract:
Provided are techniques for determining a state of flow through, or a cut of, a network in which some the capacities of at least some of the conduits are dependent upon a specified parameter. Initially, a derived network is obtained by replacing capacities in the original network that depend upon the parameter. A particular flow state then is identified for that derived network, and this flow state is used to determine either a state of flow through or a cut of the original network.
Abstract:
A method for determining a total benefit derived from a subset of products in a product portfolio includes identifying a set of customer orders having a set of ordered products from the product portfolio and an order benefit and selecting the subset of products from the product portfolio. The method also totals the order benefits from the set of customer orders whose set of ordered products are included within the subset of products from the product portfolio. An apparatus for use in determining a total benefit derived from a subset of products in a product portfolio is also described.
Abstract:
A method for selecting products for a product portfolio includes identifying a set of customer orders including a set of ordered products, a total order benefit and a penalty multiplier and identifying one or more subsets of the ordered products each having a subset order benefit and a penalty multiplier. The method also includes selecting one or more of the penalty multipliers using a binary search in order to generate a series of solutions along an efficient frontier of order benefit coverage versus number of ordered products selected An apparatus for product portfolio selection is also described.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for generating an output signal that tracks the temperature coefficient of a light source are provided. A light source temperature coefficient tracking mechanism (e.g., a current source circuit) that generates an output signal, which tracks the temperature coefficient of the light source (e.g., temperature coefficient of a light emitting diode (LED)) is provided. A proportional to absolute temperature current source circuit (PTAT current source circuit) generates a first signal. A complimentary to absolute temperature current source circuit (CTAT current source circuit) generates a second signal. The output signal that tracks the temperature coefficient of the light source is based on the first signal and the second signal.
Abstract:
A method for selecting products includes solving a maximal s-t flow in a bipartite graph to obtain a minimum cut for the bipartite graph and selecting products bounded by the minimum cut. An apparatus for product selection is also described.
Abstract:
A computer enclosure includes a chassis (90), a cover (10) and a resilient member (50). The chassis includes a recess (911) and at least one locking member (70). A cover is mounted on the chassis. The cover has a stop (115) adapted to engage with the locking member for securing the cover on the chassis. The resilient member is attached to the cover and compressed in the recess for forcing the cover to move away from the chassis when the locking member is disengaged from the stop.
