Abstract: System and methods for summarizing collaboration activity events into a plurality of pages that are then scored with respect to user-specific relevance that is based on a set of comprehensibility characteristic parameters. The collaboration activity events are summarized into groups of activities based on certain common attributes that are deemed to have quantitatively measurable relevance to the user. The groups of activities are assembled into a plurality of personalized candidate pages. The candidate summary pages are then scored using a function that includes parameters that serve to quantify how interesting or readable the particular user would find the particular candidate summary page. One or more of the higher scoring candidate summary pages are selected for presentation to the user.

Abstract: Systems and methods for secure resource access and network communication are provided. A plurality of policies are received on a client device, each policy comprising a respective resource and a respective permission for a respective action that can be performed by a user of the client device in regards to the resource. A first application, which is configured to store data in an encrypted repository on the client device, receives a request to open a resource. The first application determines that one of the policies prohibits access by the resource to the encrypted repository and, based thereon, selects a different second application to open the resource that does not have access to the encrypted repository. The second application then opens the resource.

Abstract: Systems for fine-grained management of plug-ins. A method embodiment commences upon identifying a plug-in to perform a particular computing function in a computing environment. A set of configuration parameters that correspond to the particular computing function are determined. Based at least in part on the determined configuration parameters, an instance-specific plug-in management wrapper corresponding is generated. The instance-specific plug-in management wrapper includes fine-grained management controls so as to be able to observe performance characteristics, functional characteristics and other runtime characteristics of the plug-in while it operates in the computing system. When a particular plug-in is invoked, its management wrapper is automatically generated so as to encapsulate the particular plug-in. Deployment instructions are generated to instantiate the plug-in management wrapper and its encapsulated plug-in in the computing system. When the plug-in has performed its function, any measurements taken by the management wrapper are saved and the generated management wrapper is destroyed.

Abstract: A smart safety kit includes one or more medical products, a container configured to receive the medical products therein, an interface coupled to the container, a processor, and a memory. The container and the medicals product are separate and distinct. The memory is coupled to the container and includes instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the processor, cause the interface to communicate step-by-step medical instructions for administering treatment to a patient with the medical products.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing file operations over shared content in the presence of two or more heterogeneous file systems. A virtual file system provides data consistency pertaining to asynchronous interactions between the heterogeneous storage systems. Operations of the virtual file system include receiving a file system call from a first storage environment for performing one or more data operations at a second storage environment. After receiving the file system call, the virtual file system issues file system calls to the second storage environment and records a first set of metadata. To determine if and when the one or more data operations at the second storage environment have completed, the virtual file system accesses a second set of metadata from the second storage environment. The two sets of metadata are compared. If there are differences, then the virtual file system performs time delays until the two sets of metadata agree.

Abstract: Systems for dynamic watermarking within a cloud-based collaboration environment. Storage facilities are managed by servers to provide cloud-based storage services to two or more client entities as a service across a network. The servers maintain versions of editable documents or photo images or video clips using a version indication. Dynamic watermarking applies a first watermark image to a first version of the editable document and grants edit access to a first client entity of the two or more client entities. While the first client entity has edit access to the first version of the editable document the system generates a second version of the editable document and applies a second watermark image to the second version of the editable document before delivering the second version to a second client entity. A security watermark is based on a user credential, and a leak source can be determined based the user credential.

Abstract: A border wall or fence is constructed from a plurality of existing ISO steel shipping containers which are connected together both horizontally and vertically at their corners using conventional corner locks so as to present a continuous physical barrier of any selected length. The containers are stacked three or four high with the bottommost containers recessed into the ground and filled at least partially with dirt or sand. The uppermost containers are open at their ends to allow personnel to walk or drive through the length of the wall. Windows are also formed in the upper containers to allow personnel to view the area around the wall. Gated openings can be formed periodically to allow for passage through the wall.

Abstract: Systems for managing shared content in a cloud-based service platform. A method commences upon identifying one or more storage devices that store one or more content objects. The storage devices may be partitioned into geographically distant locations. A first partition in one geography is associated with a first set of content objects and a second partition is associated with a second set of content objects. An inviter-collaborator generates a set of outgoing collaboration attributes pertaining to a shared content object from the first partition. The outgoing collaboration attributes are stored on the inviter's partition. An invitee-collaborator accepts the invitation and generates a set of incoming collaboration attributes that derive from the set of outgoing collaboration attributes. The set of incoming collaboration attributes are stored on the invitee's partition. The invitations can be sent and received through operation of a web application that facilitates offering invitations and acceptance of those invitations.

Abstract: System and method for promoting enterprise adoption of a web-based collaboration environment are disclosed. In one aspect, embodiments of the present disclosure include a method, which may be implemented on a system, for detecting eligibility of a user having an account in the web-based collaboration environment, for the user to invite additional users to join the web-based collaboration environment, providing the user with a mechanism to invite the additional users to join the web-based collaboration environment to create accounts with enhanced features, and/or sending, to those of the additional users who qualify, an invitation to create new accounts in the web-based collaboration environment, those of the additional users who qualify are affiliated with the enterprise of the user having the account. The new accounts that are created include the enhanced features.

Abstract: Systems for managing multiple shared content objects using access tokens that cover the multiple shared content objects are disclosed. A method commences upon assigning the shared content objects to have individual permissions grantable to two or more users. A user configures a shareable unit to include attributes that describe a plurality of constituent shared content objects stored on one or more storage devices in the cloud-based storage system. An administrator or other user configures allow/deny access privileges to the shareable unit. Upon receiving a request from a user to access the shareable unit, a single access token is generated to provide access to the shared content objects that comprise the shareable unit. Ongoing access to the shareable unit is accomplished using the single access token, without the need to provision an access token or tokens pertaining to individual ones of the constituent shared content objects of the shareable unit.
