Abstract: The invention relates to a method implemented by computer for arbitration between computer programs seeking to access a shared resource concurrently and each transmitting an access request. The method performs time-division multiple access according to which the time is divided into time slots, each of which is allocated to a critical program for access to the shared resource, each time slot comprising a plurality of time units. The method exploits a processing slack associated with each critical program in order to delay a processing deadline for an access request transmitted by the critical program. The method comprises, for each unit time, a step of selecting a waiting access request and a step of determining authorization for immediate processing of the selected access request. This determining operation comprises, for a unit time which does not correspond to the beginning of a time slot, when the critical program to which the next time slot is allocated has not issued the selected request, authorization for the immediate processing of the selected request if the processing slack of the critical program to which the next time slot is allocated is greater than a threshold.

Abstract: A method—for printing a 3D object, defined by a 3D image having multiple illuminated points, in a photoreactive composition volume—includes extracting from the image a mosaic sequence. Each mosaic includes multiple solid areas, each including illuminated point(s). The mosaic sequence is projected in an axial direction, inside the volume, to form—from each projected mosaic—multiple light areas, each corresponding to a solid area of the projected mosaic. In the solid area of a mosaic, a number of illuminated points and the distribution of the illuminated points are adjusted so, when projecting the mosaic is into the volume, the light area corresponding to the solid area causes a photoreaction in an associated composition block with a desired axial resolution. In the same mosaic, the solid areas are distributed such that, when projecting the mosaic into the volume, the composition does not react between the light areas associated with the multiple solid areas.

Abstract: A secret key estimation device is provided for determining an estimate of at least one secret key used during a number of executions of a cryptographic function used by at least one cryptographic algorithm. The number of executions of the cryptographic function is at least equal to two. The secret key estimation device comprises an analysis unit for determining a plurality of sets of leakage traces from a side-channel information acquired during the number of executions of the cryptographic function. Each set of leakage traces corresponds to an execution of the cryptographic function and comprising at least one leakage trace. The secret key estimation device further comprises a processing unit configured to determine a statistical distribution of the acquired plurality of sets of leakage traces. The statistical distribution is dependent on a leakage function, the leakage function being represented in a basis of functions by a set of real values. The secret key estimation device is configured to determine the secret key from the statistical distribution of the plurality of sets of leakage traces using an estimation algorithm according to the maximization of a performance metric.

Abstract: Method for compressing a sequence of images comprising a first image and a second image, the method comprising the steps of: generating a first descriptor comprising parameters for displaying a computer-generated graphical element in the first image, the graphical element being of non-photographic origin, and the display parameters not comprising pixel values; processing the second image so as to determine an event which gave rise to a potential variation in the parameters for displaying the graphical element between the first image and the second image; generating a second descriptor comprising an event code indicating the determined event.

Abstract: The disclosure describes one or more embodiments of systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media that modify vertex positions of a 3D-object mesh to align the vertices with discontinuities indicated by a sharpness map for a displacement map. For example, the disclosed systems access a sharpness map that encodes discontinuities of a displacement map to preserve sharp features. During sharp tessellation, for a given vertex of the 3D-object mesh, the disclosed systems iterate over neighboring vertices to search for a nearest intersection between one of the incident edges of the vertex and neighboring vertices and a discontinuity line from the sharpness map. Then, the vertex is moved within a threshold distance of the nearest discontinuity line intersection along the incident edge. The disclosed systems similarly reposition other vertices of the 3D-object mesh to generate a modified 3D-object mesh that includes vertices that align with discontinuities present in a displacement map.

Abstract: An antenna arrangement includes a conductive element configured to resonate at and above a chosen electromagnetic radiation frequency corresponding to a fundamental resonant mode. The conductive element is folded to make coupling areas intended to shift one or more of the resonant frequencies of the higher resonant modes. Each coupling area is defined related to the set of resonant frequencies according to which the antenna is supposed to work, and is formed by positioning parts of the conductive element facing each other. The location, along the conductive element, of the parts of that conductive element intended to form a given coupling area as well as the length of these parts and as the width of the gap between them when the coupling area is formed, are determined so as to provide a given increase or decrease of the resonant frequency of a given resonant mode of the conductive element.

Abstract: The disclosure describes one or more embodiments of systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media that utilize a sharpness map that includes information on how to filter a displacement map on a per-texel basis to preserve sharp features while sampling a displacement map. For instance, the disclosed systems utilize a sharpness map that encodes combinable patterns to represent discontinuities of features within a displacement map. In some embodiments, the disclosed systems generate a sharpness map having texels encoded with discontinuity configurations that are referenced to control filtering (e.g., via interpolation) of a displacement map such that sharp features within the displacement map are not lost (due to smoothing during interpolation). For example, the disclosed systems filter feature values of a displacement map using discontinuities identified within a sharpness map to interpolate when the feature value(s) and a sampling point are identified as being on the same side of a discontinuity.
