The print platform is arranged adjacent to the tank. The motor is mechanically connected to the print platform. The motor is configured to drive the print platform to move. The force sensor includes a position encoder. The controller is electrically connected to the force sensor and the motor. The controller is configured to confirm whether the print platform is configured to reach a target position through a value of the position encoder.

摘要: A method is disclosed for additively manufacturing a composite structure. The method may include receiving from a user a sketch of a cross-section of the composite structure and a desired height. The method may also include automatically generating a virtual model of the composite structure having a plurality of layers, each with a thickness related to the height. The method may further include receiving from the user at least one infill pattern for at least one of the plurality of layers, and causing an additive manufacturing machine to deposit a continuous fiber along segments of the at least one infill pattern.

摘要: A portable and ruggedized 3D printing system that is suitable for deployment in extreme environments for combat situations or disaster relief or in remote locations. The 3D printing system includes an enclosure that is openable, water resistant, and made of materials that are impact resistant. A 3D printer within the enclosure includes active and passive suspension systems that provide shock absorption. The 3D printing system further includes one or more internal and/or external sensors that monitor, in real time, various aspects of the printer, its environment, and/or the object being printed. Data from the one or more sensors is used to adjust internal print operating parameters via sensor fusion machine learning algorithms on an onboard processor.

摘要: Embodiments herein describe monitoring the progress of a 3D printing job using a digital twin which can provide corrective actions in real time. The quality of a 3D printed object is dependent on the conditions of different components of the 3D printers such as a heating module, a nozzle, and the level of vibration in different parts, etc. To detect problematic conditions that may negatively impact the 3D printing job, a digital twin simulation of the 3D printer can detect or predict what types of defects have (or will) happen as the object is printed. That way, a corrective action can be taken while the object is printed to either prevent a defect or correct a defect in the 3D object.

摘要: A method for generating a quote for fabrication of a part to be fabricated includes receiving, from a customer device associated with a customer, a design request for a part to be fabricated by a fabrication process, the design request including a two-dimensional drawing file representing the part to be fabricated and descriptive information including a descriptive datum. The method includes extracting a first feature from the 2D drawing file, wherein the first feature represents a geometry of the part to be fabricated. The method includes extracting a second feature from the descriptive information, wherein the second feature represents the descriptive datum. The method includes generating, as a function of the first and second features, a quote for fabrication for the part to be fabricated, the quote for fabrication including a cost and time to fabricate the part to be fabricated and sending the quote for fabrication to the customer.

摘要: A calibration method for a system for powder bed-based generating of three-dimensional components by means of electromagnetic radiation, in particular such as a PBLS system, having a radiation source deflection unit and a raisable and lowerable carrier plate, above which a component is built, where, in order to calibrate the radiation source deflection unit, at least one virtual reference mark is used and, by means of a detector, a target-actual deviation between the virtual reference mark and a beam of the radiation source deflection unit is determined. An improved calibration method is achieved in that the at least one virtual reference mark is projected on a reference surface, which can travel vertically by means of the raisable and lowerable carrier plate, and independently of the vertical position thereof.

摘要: According to examples, a three-dimensional (3D) fabrication system may include a controller that may control an agent delivery system to deposit a fusing agent onto a fusing area of a layer of particles of build material. The controller may also control the agent delivery system to deposit an energy absorbing agent onto an unfused thermal support area of the layer of particles, the unfused thermal support area being located adjacent to the fusing area. The controller may further control an energy supply system to supply energy, in which supply of the energy is to cause the particles on which the fusing agent has been deposited to melt and a temperature of the particles in the unfused thermal support area to be raised to a level that is below a melting point temperature of the particles.
