Abstract:
A suture management member including a body being elongate in a first direction and having a suture-receiving recess in a second direction transverse to the first direction. The suture-receiving recess extends partially through the body and separates the body into a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is being biased towards the second portion to securely retaining a suture within the suture-receiving recess.
Abstract:
A vessel closure device that includes improved activation and alignment mechanisms that result in greater control and ease of use for the user.
Abstract:
Adjustable catheter including an elongate tubular shaft having a proximal portion, a distal portion, and a length therebetween. The elongate tubular shaft has a guidewire lumen defined therein extending along at least the distal portion of elongate tubular member and further has at least one pressure lumen defined therein extending along at least a section of the length of the elongate tubular shaft. The at least one pressure lumen having a proximal end and a closed distal end. A fluid adaptor is in fluid communication with the at least one pressure lumen. The catheter has a stiffness profile and a flexibility profile along a length there of and at least one of the stiffness profile and the flexibility profile selectively adjustable upon introduction of a pressurizing fluid into the at least one pressure lumen.
Abstract:
A surgical device for suturing body lumen is described, as well as methods for suturing tissue employing the surgical device. The device can include a body having a shaft and a foot for insertion into an opening in a body lumen. The device can include tissue ports between configured to receive tissue surrounding the opening in the body lumen. The foot can include a suture secured to needle capture devices. The device can include needles that can be advanced through tissue and into the needle capture devices. The needle capture devices can then be withdrawn, thereby harvesting the suture, which can then be used to close the opening in the body lumen.
Abstract:
An introducer needle for accessing a body lumen includes an annular-shaped body having a distal end and a proximal end, a leading edge formed on the distal end, and a slot defined in the leading edge and extending proximally from the distal end. In at least one example, the slot can include a first edge and a second edge, the first edge and the second edge each extending proximally from the leading edge and being separated by a central angle greater than 90 degrees and less than 360 degrees. The first end and the second edge are in continuous communication with the leading edge.
Abstract:
A device configured as a knot pusher and/or a suture trimmer is provided. The device can deliver and secure a suture knot. The apparatus can also trim the suture after the suture knot is secured.
