Abstract:
The present empty/load device includes an inlet to receive a brake signal, an outlet for a brake device, load sensing element, a change over valve responsive to the load sensing element to proportion the pressure at the inlet and the outlet when empty is sensed by the load sensing element, a differential pressure element connecting the load sensing element and the change over valve, and a lock-out mechanism to prevent proportioning of the inlet pressure to the outlet when activated. The lock-out mechanism includes a lock-out valve, in a lock-out position, pneumatically preventing proportioning of the inlet pressure to the outlet. A first spring biases the lock-out valve from the lock-out position. A detent engages the lock-out valve and holding the lock-out valve in the lock-out position. The lock-out valve may be connected in parallel to the change over valve with respect to the inlet and the outlet. Alternatively, the lock-out valve may be connected in parallel to the both sides of the differential pressure element.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for automatic client management authority assignment are described. In one aspect, it is determined that a network management point has not been configured for a client. Responsive to this, a directory service is requested to automatically assign a site code to the client. The automatically assigned site code identifies the management point through which the client can obtain management service(s).
Abstract:
A proxy computer of a network can receive incoming telephony messages from one or more computers outside of the network and proxy them to computers within the network. Similarly, the proxy computer can receive outgoing telephony messages from within the network and proxy them to computers outside of the network. To set up inbound calls, a proxy program on the proxy computer looks for the presence of an alias in the call signaling messages, references a data structure to determine which computer on the network is associated with the alias, and proxies the call signaling and control messages between the callee computer and the calling computer based on the association, thereby creating a logical connection between the calling computer and the callee computer.
Abstract:
A system and method to select a software distribution server to download content from a server to a client, and to execute content on the server for the client, is described. The system and method include a client able to couple to any of the regions of a multi-region network. The client queries a server system for an identification of network software distribution servers. The client and/or server system select the software distribution server according to criteria that include in one implementation the network location of the client and the software distribution servers. In one implementation, the network is a multi-LAN network and the client and/or server system select the software distribution server coupled to the same LAN as the client. In one implementation, the client queries a server for an identification of network management servers on the network, selects a network management server coupled to the same LAN as the client, and queries the selected network management server for an identification of a software distribution server.
