Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for providing proximity and context-based telepresence in electronic collaboration environments are described. For example, an Information Handling System (IHS) may include a processor; and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution by the processor, cause the IHS to: identify a position of a participant of a collaboration session; identify a context of the participant; prioritize collaboration session content captured by the IHS based upon the position and the context of the participant; and transmit the prioritized collaboration session content to a remote IHS.

Abstract: A totem object placed on a touchscreen display provides inputs based upon touches made at the touchscreen display, such as with the rotational orientation or linear location of the totem object relative to a user interface presented outside the totem object. A visual access from the touchscreen display through the totem object passes a visual image from the touchscreen display for presentation at the totem object upper surface, such a numerical value of an input made by totem object position on the touchscreen display.

Abstract: An information handling system input device coordinates presentation of keyboard augmentation panels proximate a keyboard resting on a horizontally-disposed touchscreen display. The keyboard augmentation panels relate keyboard and other inputs to an application active on the information handling system to enhance end user interactions. A keyboard augmentation module tracks the keyboard position on the touchscreen display to adapt content presentation in the keyboard augmentation panels based upon expected end user inputs. In other embodiments, other physical devices are augmented to have hybrid graphical interfaces that enhance multi-hand end user interactions.

Abstract: An information handling system presents visual images at plural display devices and moves the visual images at the display devices responsive to touches made at one or more of the display devices with movement managed in a point mode or a touch mode as selected by one or more predetermined inputs. In the touch mode, the visual image moves as the touch moves. At detection of the predetermined input to select the point mode, the visual image moves a greater distance than the touch movement so that the end user is able to move the visual image between separate display devices.

Abstract: A totem device accepts inputs from an end user and communicates the inputs to an information handling system through a capacitive mat by moving an interactive portion of the totem relative to a main portion. In one embodiment, the capacitive mat integrates a display that presents input images proximate the totem, such as a volume gauge or mouse keys. Interactive portions include compressible materials that alter surface area pressed against a capacitive mat when pressed upon and plungers that move independent of a main body to press. In one embodiment, a camera captures images of the totem to enhance the distinguishing of inputs.
