摘要: A method, apparatus or system for generating a clock signal that includes determining a transmission frequency within a first frequency range for receiving or transmitting a data stream, locking a clock to the transmission frequency during a packet exchange and tuning the clock to one or more frequencies within a second frequency range after the packet exchange. The clock may be variably tuned to multiple frequencies within either the first or second range.

摘要: A method and apparatus for the detection of buried objects and subterranean anomalies using detector technology including, for example, existing metal detector technology is provided. A grid having defined coordinates is established over a desired search area, and a survey is conducted over the desired search area using a metal detector. Output data generated by the metal detector are assigned values, and such values are correlated to the various coordinates of the search area. A converter is used to convert an audible analogue signal of existing metal detectors to digital values. Such digital values are then plotted against coordinates of the search area in order to develop a graphical representation or map of the search area. The graphical representation can be used, together with other information from the metal detector, to discern qualitative characteristics of buried objects and/or subterranean anomalies encountered in the search area.

摘要: The invention provides a drilling apparatus (1) having a base (2) from which a drilling arm is pivotally mounted. The drilling arm (3) has an inner arm (4) and an outer arm (5). The inner arm (4) has a first end (6) and a second end (7). The first end (6) is pivotally connected via a first pivot joint (8) to the base (2). The outer arm (5) has a first end (9) and a second end (10). The second end (7) of the inner arm (4) is pivotally connected via a second pivot joint (11) to the first end (9) of the outer arm (5). At the second end (10) of the outer arm (5) is a drill mounting assembly (12). Actuation of the inner and outer arms (4) and (5) is achieved via drive means in the form of hydraulic cylinders (13). Proper operation of the cylinders (13) causes the second end (10) of the outer arm (5) to follow a substantially linear path.

摘要: A system and a method for detecting an operational fault condition in a power supply are provided. The power supply has a controller operably coupled to first and second switches. The first and second switches are connected in series between a voltage source and a ground node, wherein a first electrical node is electrically coupled between the first and second switches. The first electrical node is further coupled to a first end of an inductor. The controller is configured to induce the first and second switches to apply voltage pulses to the first electrical node. The method includes monitoring a voltage at the first electrical node to determine a number of voltage pulses being applied to the first electrical node over a predetermined time interval. The method further includes determining when a first operational fault condition has occurred when the number of voltage pulses being applied to the first electrical node over the predetermined time interval is less than or equal to a predetermined number of voltage pulses.

摘要: A shallow, elongate, portable sewage containment vessel can be positioned at ground level adjacent to one or more relocatable buildings at wellsites and construction sites to receive domestic or industrial waste liquids from the buildings by gravity drainage. The roof member of the vessel has an elongate slot for snugly receiving an insert member made of a plastic or other readily drillable material. Holes may be drilled in the field at any convenient location in the insert member so that inlet piping from the sewage outlets of one or more buildings can be connected to the vessel. The vessel also has a connection for a vacuum truck or other equipment for removing the sewage from the vessel. When the buildings are moved from the site, the containment vessels may be drained and then conveniently moved from the site, to be cleaned as appropriate and installed on a different site as desired. The insert members that were drilled to receive sewage piping may be discarded and replaced with new insert members for the vessels' next use.
