    摘要: A refrigerant compressor comprises a compressor housing divided at least partially by a valve plate into a first chamber and a second chamber, the second chamber comprises a discharge chamber. An elastic valve member is capable of bending to open and close an end opening of the conduit. The valve member has a predetermined elastic modulus and is arranged such that the end opening of the conduit remains blocked until a pressure in the first chamber reaches a predetermined value. The valve plate includes a valve seat surrounding the end opening of the conduit and a recessed portion offset from the end surface of the valve plate. The recessed portion includes an inclined surface portion and a wall portion extending therefrom so that the elastic valve member closes the end opening of the conduit without striking the end surface of the valve plate due to an elastic restoring force of the elastic valve member. Noise and vibration caused by the striking of discharge reed valve against the valve plate are thus decreased. As a result, noise and vibration propogated to the passenger compartment of a vehicle are decreased.

A passage is formed in the valve plate member to allow communication between the first chamber and the discharge chamber. An elastic valve member disposed on the valve plate bends to open and close the end of the passage. The valve retainer member is secured to the valve plate together with the elastic valve member and has a curved end portion. A valve seat includes a recessed portion offset from an end surface of the valve plate. The recessed portion includes an inclined portion and a wall portion extending therefrom. The distance between the beginning of the curved portion of the valve retainer member and the securing means is greater than the distance between an edge of the recessed portion of the valve seat and the securing means. Noise and vibration caused by the striking of discharge reed valve against the valve seat and the retainer member are decreased according to this arrangement.

    摘要: An automatic document feeder for use with an electrophotographic copier, digital copier or similar image recorder capable of transporting ordinary documents in the form of separate sheets and a continuous document in the form of computer form (CF) paper which is formed with equally spaced sprocket holes, as desired. A sprocket hole sensor is disposed on an imaginary line along which the sprocket holes of the CF paper are moved. A control device reversibly controls the transport of the CF paper to a predetermined reference position on a glass platen in association with the number of sprocket holes being counted. The document feeder is capable of not only copying a desired page of the CF paper but also implementing jam recovery in the event when a paper sheet jams the image recorder.

    摘要: An oil level sensing apparatus has a body which defines a volume having an open bottom. A float in the volume supports a permanent magnet and moves within the volume in accordance with the oil level therein. A reed-switch is affected by the magnet supported on the float to detect a low oil level. A temperature sensitive plate closes the open bottom of the volume at low temperatures in order to prevent false readings. Additionally, in order to prevent false readings during transient oil level fluctuations at higher oil temperatures, a spring opposes the opening of the plate such that a restriction is formed in the path for draining oil from the volume. This delays the oil drainage from the chamber and any resulting low oil level signal.
