摘要： In a three-piece solid golf ball comprising a center core, an intermediate layer and a cover. The center core is based on rubber, the intermediate layer is formed mainly of a thermoplastic polyester elastomer to a Shore D hardness of 30-55, and the cover is formed mainly of an ionomer resin to a Shore D hardness of 45-54. The cover has a thickness in the range of 1.0-3.0 mm, the intermediate layer has a thickness of 0.5-3.0 mm and the core a thickness of 30-41 mm. The intermediate layer has a specific gravity of at least 1.05. The golf ball has spin receptivity approximate to wound golf balls while maintaining superior flight and durability characteristic of solid golf balls.

摘要： A golf ball having a multiplicity of dimples in its surface is adjusted to a weight of 40 to 45 grams and a diameter of 43 to 47 mm. The dimples occupy at least 60% of the ball surface and satisfy 0.35.ltoreq.V.sub.0 .ltoreq.0.60 wherein V.sub.0 is the volume of the dimple space below a circular plane circumscribed by a dimple edge, divided by the volume of a cylinder whose bottom is the circular plane and whose height is the maximum depth of the dimple from the bottom. The ball is improved in flying performance in that it offers an adequate trajectory and an increased flying distance when hit by an ordinary golfer with a head speed of about 40 m/sec. with a driver or long iron. Hitting feel is also improved.

摘要： An iron-type golf club head has a face which has a face surface of a flat shape, and a hosel which is continuous with the face on its heel side. A shaft insertion hole is disposed in the hosel. A protrusion protruding rearward is disposed in the vicinity of the center in a toe-heel direction. A material of the golf club head is pure iron having a high purity of at least 99.8%, for instance, pure iron having a purity within a range of 99.995 to 99.9999%. The golf club head is subjected to carburizing so that carbon diffuses up to about 0.2 to 0.5 mm from the surface. A region within 0.2 mm from the face surface has a hardness of HV 300 to 600, and a region where a distance from the face surface is 0.7 mm or more has a hardness of HV 100 or lower.

Dimples of the number of 300 to 550 pieces are formed in the surface of the golf ball in such a manner that a dimple total volume ratio VR is in a range of 0.85% or less. The multi-piece golf ball is excellent in resilience, flight distance characteristic, and feel of hitting.
