Abstract:
The invention relates to a digital control circuit for an electrical machine. The digital control circuit comprises a processor arranged to execute a control or protection algorithm for the electrical machine. The circuit has an output to enable a value of at least one digital parameter of the algorithm to be read externally. The circuit is arranged to output an analog signal whose value corresponds to the value of the digital parameter. This can allow the value of a digital parameter to be read by a device such as a multimeter.
Abstract:
A device to implant impurities into a semiconductor wafer has a process chamber having a wall, a pressure compensation unit, a disk to support a plurality of semiconductor wafers within the process chamber. The disk has a radially extending slot arranged among the wafers. A beam gun is positioned within the process chamber to shoot an ion beam at the semiconductor wafers. A cryo pump minimizes the pressure within the process chamber. A first ion gauge is positioned between the process chamber and the cryo pump. A second ion gauge extends through the wall of the process chamber. A switching device selectively connects the first or second ion gauge to the pressure compensation unit. A faraday receives ions from the ion gun filter after the ions travel through the slot in the disk. A current meter counts the number of electrons flowing to the disk faraday to neutralize the ions.
Abstract:
A floor cleaning device (10) includes a housing (40) and a container (43) removably received by the housing. A suction nozzle (18, 18′, 18″) is fluidly connected with the container and with a suction source (52) when the container is. received by the housing. A filter (114) is selectively fluidly connected with the container and with the suction source. A float (170) selectively closes the fluid connection of the filter with the container. The filter and the float may be removable as a unit (42) from the cleaning device. The nozzle may be removable, allowing an appropriate nozzle to be selected according to the type of floor surface to be cleaned.
Abstract:
A process uses pressure changes and a pressure compensation factor to estimate the rate at which neutral atoms are implanted. While implanting a first wafer using a first pressure compensation factor, the rate at which ions are implanted is determined. The first wafer is moved radially with respect to an ion beam while implanting ions into the first wafer so as to achieve a uniform total dose based on the rate at which ions are implanted and the estimated rate at which neutral atoms are implanted. The pressure is determined while implanting the first wafer, determining the pressure. A second pressure compensation factor is selected, that would have achieved a uniform rate of implanted ions plus implanted neutral atoms across a surface of the first wafer. The second pressure compensation factor is different from the first pressure compensation factor. The second pressure compensation factor is used to implant a second wafer. The second wafer is tested by forming a sheet resistance contour map. If the sheet resistant contour map shows uniform resistance across the wafer, the second pressure compensation factor is used to implant wafers subsequent to the second wafer.
Abstract:
A cache system and caching methods that are used to improve data delivery service provided by a data distribution system. The present invention uses a master cache in which predictive harvesting of content is performed based upon probability distributions of individual caches satisfying requests from users. Content in the master cache is distributed to user sites by way of the data distribution system, and local caches at user sites are automatically loaded with incoming content.
Abstract:
In various embodiments, there is provided a different methods of right sizing. The method would provide for the stylist having a matrix chart outlining as a percentage of or total amount of ingredients needed to create a mixture based on customer characteristics and/or service requested. The stylist would then be capable of creating a more accurate batch based on the matrix outline. The right-sizing of the mixture formula can be done by the stylist themselves or automatically done by a computer-driven system.
Abstract:
A protective cover for a flat screen television that includes an ornamental appearance. The protective cover includes a rectangular frame having a front portion with a central opening that rests flush against the border of a television, and a side portion that extends rearward from the front portion and covers the sides of the television. The protective cover can be press fitted to a flat panel display or can include one or more fasteners thereon for securement to the front portion of a flat panel display. The side portion includes one or more apertures for receiving decorative objects, and further includes openings for providing access to the controls of the flat panel display. The frame can include any of various colors, patterns, or logos thereon so as to provide a customized appearance suited to the décor of the room in which the television is located.
Abstract:
A primary and branch graft deployment delivery system (70) comprises a primary graft (72) having a branch port opening or member (75), a retractable primary sheath containing the primary graft, an outer tube (60) within the retractable primary sheath and within the primary graft, an inner tube (61) within the outer tube, a cap (54 or 71) coupled to the inner tube and configured to retain at least a portion of a proximal area (73) of the primary graft in a radially compressed configuration. The system further comprises a branch graft (89) advanceable through the branch graft port member and further comprising a snap connector member (90) associated with the branch graft, the snap connector member being configured to frictionally engage the port member, the engagement of the snap connector to the port member forms a connection between the proximal end of the branch graft and the primary graft.
Abstract:
A combination sealing and restraint system for an as-cast ductile iron pipe systems. A ductile iron pipe/fitting with a bell end has an as-cast profile formed therein for receiving both a gripping ring and a sealing ring in spaced apart locations. The gripping ring is installed within a first recess provided as a part of the as-cast profile in a post-casting step. The sealing ring is also installed within a second, spaced recess after the casting operation is complete. The sealing ring can be a dual durometer gasket which can be flexed and inserted into the profile. The same type bell end can be provided as an adapter which converts a traditional mechanical joint restraint to an internal gripping and restrain system.
Abstract:
A hydrate of an acid addition bis-salt of an anthranilic acid derivative is produced by a process which comprises: (a) combining, in any order, the anthranalic acid derivative, a pharmaceutically acceptable organic solvent, an excess of water and a pharmaceutically acceptable strong acid to form a mixture; (b) warming the mixture until a clear solution forms; (c) filtering the solution while it is warm, to yield a filtrate; and (d) recovering the hydrate as defined above from the filtrate. The hydrate has a defined number of moles of water of crystallization and possesses better storage stability and dissolution characteristics than conventionally produced hydrates of such acid addition bis-salts.
