摘要： A hybrid saxophone is a combination of an acoustic saxophone and an electronic system, and the electronic system includes key sensors for monitoring the keys and a tonguing sensor for detecting the position of the tongue together with a breath sensor and a lip sensor, and the pieces of playing data are brought to an electronic tone generator for producing electric tones; the mouthpiece of the acoustic saxophone is replaced with another mouthpiece, which does not supply the breath to the reed, and a rotary type air-flow regulator is provided in the mouthpiece so that the player feels the blowing same as that in the acoustic saxophone.

摘要： A reliable image display apparatus is provided that is capable of preventing a direct current from being applied to liquid crystal of a spatial light modulating element so that damage such as burns in the liquid crystal and screen flicker may be prevented and a high resolution image with high image quality may be displayed. The image display apparatus is configured to divide a frame into 2i sub frames (i corresponding to a natural number) and sequentially display the sub frames using the liquid crystal spatial light modulating element. The image display apparatus includes a polarity switching unit configured to reverse the polarity of a drive voltage for a pixel of the spatial light modulating element for every j sub frame(s) (j corresponding to a natural number that is less than 2i) and for every n frame(s)(n corresponding to a natural number).

摘要： A spatial light modulator is disclosed that can be fabricated easily and is able to prevent degradation of a contrast ratio by suppressing a fringe effect. The spatial light modulator includes a light transmission substrate, a liquid crystal layer, a pixel array, and a phase difference generation unit provided between the light transmission substrate and the liquid crystal layer. A lens array is formed on the light transmission substrate, and the lens array has the same pitch as that of the pixel array.

摘要： To prevent a portable electronic apparatus from being scratched when the portable electronic apparatus is connected to an interface station, the interface station is arranged by an operation member moved by being externally manipulated; a movable member moved in association with the movement of the operation member; a supporting member for supporting a portable electronic apparatus; and a first connecting terminal provided on the movable member, for electrically connecting the portable electronic apparatus. The portable electronic apparatus is held by both the supporting member and the movable member, so that the portable electronic apparatus is electrically connected via the interface station to an external information processing apparatus. In this interface station, an opening portion is formed in one of the operation member and the movable member; and a convex portion inserted into the opening portion is formed on the remainder of the operation member and the movable member. As a result, said movable member is moved in connection with the movement of the operation member by engaging the convex portion with the opening portion.

摘要： An optical head device for recording and reproducing information includes beam splitting and converging mechanisms which has a first portion and a second portion secured to the first portion and is disposed on an optical path of light reflected from a photo-magnetic disk.The first portion is adapted to split the reflected light received by the beam splitting and converging means into two beams which propagate in at least two directions different from each other and adapted to proportion the amount of reflected light in each of the two beams by means of the magnitude of the p-polarized component contained in the reflected light.The second portion is adapted to converge separately the two split beams.The converged two beams are used for reproducing binary data in the photo-magnetic disk.
