Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method, a computer program comprising instructions and a device for reducing masking by a virtual image of a head-up display of a transport. The disclosure additionally relates to a head-up display for a transport in which such a method or such a device is used. In a first step, a horizon and/or a vanishing point is determined. Afterward, an image to be displayed is subdivided into a plurality of partial areas. In this case, the partial areas are trapezoidal and their size varies over the area of the image to be displayed. For the individual partial areas, masking areas are determined and checking is carried out to ascertain whether the determined masking area exceeds a permissible size for at least one of the partial areas. If this is the case, a warning signal is output. Finally, at least one measure for reducing the masking is implemented in response to the warning signal.

Abstract: A display device include a lens, a light source, a display panel including normal pixels and sensor pixels numbering less than the normal pixels to display an image, a reflective member reflecting display light emitted from the display panel toward the lens, and a processor. The processor controls the light source to emit near-infrared light, receive the near-infrared light reflected by a user's eye, converts information input to the sensor pixels into image data, generates eye feature models similar to the image data using a learning algorithm, determines an eye feature model most similar to an eye area of the image data among the generated eye feature models, tracks movement of a pupil center based on the determined eye feature model, and displays the image in high-resolution in a central vision area and the image in low-resolution in a peripheral vision area, using spatial coordinates of the tracked pupil center.

Abstract: An electronic device may include a lenticular display. The lenticular display may have a lenticular lens film formed over an array of pixels. The lenticular lenses may be configured to enable stereoscopic viewing of the display such that a viewer perceives three-dimensional images. To mitigate jaggedness in a curved edge of the active area, control circuitry may modify input pixel data for the display using dimming factors. Each brightness value of the pixel data may be multiplied by a corresponding dimming factor such that the curved edge has a smooth appearance. Each physical pixel in the display may have an associated perceived pixel that is based on an appearance of that physical pixel through the lenticular lens film. The perceived pixel may have a different footprint than its corresponding physical pixel. The dimming factors for boundary smoothing in the curved edges may be based on the perceived pixels.

Abstract: A circuit device includes a storing section configured to store a rendering image and a warp processing section. The warp processing section includes a coordinate converting section, a coordinate-address converting section, and an output section. The coordinate converting section converts, with coordinate conversion based on warp parameters and rotation correction parameters, an output coordinate, which is a coordinate on a display image, into an input coordinate, which is a coordinate on the rendering image. Abstract: A circuit device is used in a display device. The display device includes a display panel and a backlight including a plurality of light sources. The circuit device includes a distortion correction circuit, a failure information acquisition circuit, a position information acquisition circuit, and a host interface circuit. The distortion correction circuit executes distortion correction on input image data to output output image data after the distortion correction. The failure information acquisition circuit acquires failure information of the light sources. The position information acquisition circuit converts panel-side light source position information, which is position information of a faulty light source indicated by the failure information on the display panel, into input-side light source position information, which is position information of the faulty light source on the input image data. The host interface circuit outputs the input-side light source position information to a host.
