摘要: An organic light emitting display is disclosed. According to some aspects, the display includes a substrate having a display region and a peripheral region that surrounds the display region. The display further includes a pixel in the display region, and a contact unit in the peripheral region. The contact unit is configured to receive a common power signal from an external power source. A wiring line unit on the substrate provides a driving signal to the pixel. The pixel includes a first electrode provided on the substrate, an organic light emitting layer provided on the first electrode, and a second electrode that protrudes toward the contact unit on a plane to be electrically coupled to the contact unit. As a result, the area in which the second electrode overlaps the wiring line unit in the peripheral region is reduced and the parasitic capacitance that may be generated between the second electrode and the wiring line may be reduced.

摘要: There is provided a method of driving an organic light emitting display so that the organic light emitting display may be driven at a low driving frequency. The organic light emitting display includes pixels coupled to odd and even scan lines. The organic light emitting display is driven during frames. Each of the frames includes first, second, third, and fourth frame periods. The method includes: sequentially supplying scan signals to the odd scan lines in the first and third frame periods; and sequentially supplying scan signals to the even scan lines in the second and fourth frame periods. The pixels are in a non-emission state in the first and third frame periods.

摘要: A transparent organic light-emitting display device has an improved transmittance and a reduced voltage drop in an opposite electrode. The organic light-emitting display device includes: a first substrate having a transmitting region and a plurality of pixel regions separated from each other by the transmitting region interposed between the pixel regions; a plurality of pixel electrodes being located at the pixel regions, respectively; an opposite electrode facing the pixel electrodes and being at the transmitting region and the pixel regions; a second substrate facing the opposite electrode and being bonded to the first substrate; a first conductive unit being between the second substrate and the opposite electrode, opposite ends of the first conductive unit contacting the second substrate and the opposite electrode, respectively; and a second conductive unit facing the first conductive unit and contacting the opposite electrode that is between the first conductive unit and the second conductive unit.

The pixel circuit includes: an OLED; a third N-channel metal-oxide semiconductor (NMOS) transistor coupled to a data line and a first scan line and configured to apply a data signal to a first node; a storage capacitor having one terminal coupled to the first node and the other terminal coupled to a second node; a fourth NMOS transistor coupled between a first power and the second node and configured to apply a voltage of the first power to the second node; a first NMOS transistor having a first electrode, a second electrode, and a gate electrode coupled to the second node; and a second NMOS transistor coupled between the second node and the first electrode of the first NMOS transistor and configured to diode-connect the first NMOS transistor.

摘要: An organic light emitting display includes a mode determining unit adapted to determine whether the display is in a low power or common driving mode based on an operation control signal and to generate a control signal corresponding to the determined mode, a scan driver adapted to sequentially supply scan signals to scan lines, a data driver adapted to supply data signals to data lines in synchronization with the scan signals, pixels arranged at intersections of the scan lines and the data lines, and a timing controller adapted to control the scan driver and the data driver so that a frame frequency changes based on whether the low power driving mode or the common driving mode control signal is supplied from the mode determining unit, wherein the scan driver is adapted to uniformly maintain a pulse width of the scan signals regardless of a change in the frame frequency.

摘要: An electroluminescent display (EL) where a signal distortion is reduced or prevented by introducing appropriate distortion to a scan waveform to equalize a variation of a kickback voltage. An EL display includes an organic EL panel that includes a plurality of scan lines, a plurality of data lines, and pixel circuits arranged at the intersections between the scan lines and the data lines; and a scan driver that sequentially selects the scan lines to drive a selection signal. A signal delay is introduced on at least one of an input side and an output side of the scan driver, and may be provided by a signal delay device. Alternatively, the signal delay device may be included in the scan driver, either at an input side or an output side of the shift register or the level shifter.
