摘要： A method for efficiently performing an initial access in an MS in a multi-carrier broadband wireless access system is disclosed. The method includes scanning a plurality of carriers supported by a BS, and selecting one of the scanned carriers as a first carrier and receiving an SFH of the first carrier. The SFH of the first carrier includes at least one of a field indicating load status of the first carrier and recommended network entry carrier information including information about a second carrier in good load status.

摘要： A method of transmitting data in a transmitting stage is disclosed. The present invention includes configuring a MAC PDU (medium access control protocol data unit) including fragmented data and a fragmentation extended header (FEH) and a packing extended header (PEH) for transmitting the fragmented data and transmitting the configured MAC PDU to a receiving stage. Preferably, the FEH or the PEH includes an extended header type field indicating a type of an extended header and a fragmentation control field including information on the fragmented data.

The method includes steps of establishing, by a transmitting end with a receiving end, a connection associated with a service flow, constructing, by the transmitting end, the MAC PDU comprising a MAC header which is configured according to the connection, and transmitting the MAC PDU to the receiving end, wherein the MAC header is general MAC header (GMH) if the connection is associated with a general data packet transmission, and wherein the MAC header is short-packet MAC header (SPMH) if the connection is associated with a small data packet transmission and non-ARQ transmission.

摘要： The present invention relates to a broadband wireless access system, and more specifically, to a reliable group resource allocation method and an apparatus therefor. A group resource allocation operating method of a terminal in a broadband wireless access system according to one aspect of the present invention comprises the steps of: receiving a message which includes group setup information from a base station; determining a channel identifier of a 1st map for group resource allocation received from the base station by using the group setup information; receiving a 2nd map from the base station which includes the channel identifier determined by the base station; comparing the channel identifier determined by the terminal with a channel identifier value included in the 2nd map; and transmitting an extended header which includes inconsistency information to the base station if the channel identifier of the 1st map determined by the terminal is inconsistent with the channel identifier value included in the 2nd map according to a comparison of the results.

摘要： The present invention relates to a bandwidth request preamble sequence selecting method for bandwidth requests on a wireless access system, and to a random access procedure using the same. Also, the present invention relates to devices supporting the random access procedure. In one example of the present invention, the method for randomly accessing a wireless access system may comprise the steps of: receiving a first message containing a predefined bandwidth request index from a base station; selecting a bandwidth request preamble sequence from the predefined bandwidth request index on the basis if the properties of uplink data to be transmitted by a mobile terminal; transmitting a second message containing a predefined bandwidth request index to the base station; and transmitting the selected bandwidth request preamble sequence to the base station.

A method for performing ranging with a mobile station in a broadband wireless access system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: transmitting a first ranging code for requesting ranging to a base station through a first ranging opportunity of a first frame; and receiving a first message including a response to the first ranging code, wherein if the first ranging code is a dedicated ranging code and the response to the first ranging code is “continue”, the first message may further include at least one of a dedicated flag field, a second ranging code, and the information on the second ranging opportunity.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method enabling a base station and a terminal to reliably transmit short messages in a broadband wireless access system. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the method wherein a terminal receives a short message service (SMS) in a broadband wireless access system comprises the following steps: transmitting a first message for carrying out ranging to a base station; receiving a second message, which comprises SMS information and uplink resource allocation information for the transmission of a third message, from the base station as a response to the first message; and transmitting a third message, which indicates the state of the reception of the second message, to the base station by means of uplink resources which are indicated by the uplink resources allocation information.
