    摘要： Provided is a light source unit that is to be joined to a slider to form a thermally-assisted magnetic recording head. The light source unit comprises: a unit substrate having a source-installation surface; a light source provided in the source-installation surface and emitting thermal-assist light; and a photodetector bonded to a rear joining surface of the unit substrate in such a manner that a rear light-emission center of the light source is covered with a light-receiving surface of the photodetector. The photodetector can be sufficiently close to the light source; thus, constant feedback adjustment with high efficiency for the light output of the light source can be performed. This adjustment enables light output from the light source to be controlled in response to changes in light output due to surroundings and to changes with time to stabilize the intensity of light with which a magnetic recording medium is irradiated.

    摘要： A simulated gun includes a main body and a reactionary force generator having a drive force generator, an actuator and a transmitter. The drive force generator is arranged outside the main body and transmits a drive force to a core constituting the transmitter by driving of the drive force generator. The rotational arm of the actuator is rotated together with a weight about the horizontal axis by a drive force from the core, and a drive force in a direction for raising the muzzle side of the gun is imparted to the main body when the weight hammers the inner wall surface of the main body. Consequently, a specified impact force can be generated by the drive force generator arranged outside of the main body, the size and weight of the main body can be reduced, and a realistic reaction force such that the muzzle side of the gun is sprung up can be realized.

    摘要： A suspension for a HGA includes a base plate, a flexure having a suspension tongue for holding a slider, a load beam, and a hinge that are assembled together; wherein a strengthening plate is formed on the suspension tongue to increase stiffness of the suspension tongue. So the invention enable the use of the suspension with lower pitch and roll stiffness while preventing the suspension deformation. This ensures the slider mounted on the suspension have a good flying performance. The invention also discloses a HGA with such a suspension and a disk drive unit having such an HGA.

In a case where it is determined that there is the frequency error, the error detector further determines whether or not the frequency error stays within a targeted error range. In a case where it is determined that the frequency error stays within the targeted error range, a proportional gain is decreased. In a case where it is determined that the frequency error fails to stay within the targeted error range, the proportional gain is increased. Then, a frequency proportional-integral-derivative operation processing is executed based on a set gain.

    摘要： A current mirror circuit includes p-type MOS (PMOS) transistors, whereby the current flowing when the input voltage is “H” is interrupted when an output node of the current mirror circuit goes from “L” to “H,” so that a cascode-connected PMOS transistor within the current mirror circuit is automatically turned OFF. The gates of PMOS transistors within the current mirror circuit are connected by a signal line directly to the output node. The rise time of the output voltage of the current mirror circuit and the consumption current can thus be reduced.
