This side airbag apparatus has a first airbag and a second airbag. The first airbag has a tube-like shape, and one end of the first airbag is fixed at a seat back of a seat of the vehicle and the other end of the first airbag is fixed at a seat cushion of the seat. The second airbag has a tube-like shape, and one end of the second airbag is fixed at the seat back and the other end of the second airbag is fixed at the seat cushion. In this side airbag apparatus, the position of one end of the second airbag is higher than the position of one end of the first airbag.

The lower airbag unit has a waist airbag, which deploys toward the hip of the occupant M and pushes the hip of the occupant M in the direction opposite to the sidewall, an inflator, which generates gas for inflating the waist airbag and supplies gas to the waist airbag, and a module case, which stores the waist airbag and inflator therein. The control unit ignites the inflator in order to generate gas when an acceleration of greater than a prescribed value is detected.

摘要： An air bag device includes an air bag which is accommodated in a folded state along sides of a seat back and a seat cushion of a seat for an occupant. Upon side collision of a vehicle, the air bag is expanded by a gas generated by an inflator and deployed between an inner surface of a side of a vehicle compartment and an occupant. The air bag is disposed outside a lap belt of a seat belt device, and hence is deployed from the sides of the seat back and the seat cushion, so that a shock-absorbing effect can be effectively exhibited.

摘要： A receiving device used in a digital television includes an automatic storage section obtains the channel information on physical channels at which a program is broadcast, when the channel information contains any other physical channels therein, registers the physical channels thereof in a channel map, decides whether the physical channel which is switched has been registered in the channel map, and if the physical channel has been registered, not to detect whether a program is broadcast at the other physical channels. In this case, information of any other physical channel is present in a VCT, this other physical channel is registered in the channel map without detecting whether a program is broadcast at the channel. Therefore, the total number of the channels to be detected on whether a program is broadcast can be decreased, thus reducing the time for performing the automatic storage function.
