    摘要: Nuclear magnetic resonance signals are multiply excited and a plurality of data sets corresponding to the nuclear magnetic resonance signals are obtained and are used for calculating the coefficients of a spherical harmonic function that describes the magnetic field distribution in the examination space. Each data set acquired in this way has a weighting that correlates with the plausibility (reliability) of the data set allocated to it. Taking the respective weighting into consideration, coefficients of the spherical harmonic functions are acquired from the data sets acquired and are used to calculate respective currents that are supplied to the corresponding shim coils.

    摘要: The invention relates to an electro-optical liquid-crystal display which contains, as dielectric, a liquid-crystalline medium having negative dielectric anisotropy and includes a backlight which essentially only emits light having a wavelength of 400 nm or more or has, between the liquid-crystal layer and the backlight, a cut-off filter which essentially only allows light having a wavelength of 420 nm or more to pass through.In particular, the liquid-crystalline medium comprises a) a (first) dielectrically negative component (component A) which consists of one or more dielectrically negative compounds of the formula I in which the parameters have the meanings indicated in claim 2, and a further (second) dielectrically negative component (component B). Very particular preference is given to the use of the liquid-crystalline media in an electro-optical display, particularly in an active-matrix display based on the VA, ECB, PSVA, FFS or IPS effect and very particularly in displays which use an LED backlight.

    摘要: A two-dimensional (2-D) beam steerable phased array antenna is presented comprising a continuously electronically steerable material including a tunable material or a variable dielectric material, preferred a liquid crystal material. A compact antenna architecture including a patch antenna array, tunable phase shifters, a feed network and a bias network is proposed. Similar to the LC display, the proposed antenna is fabricated by using automated manufacturing techniques and therefore the fabrication costs are reduced considerably.
