Abstract: One of the objects of the present invention is to suppress mixing of a first layer and a second layer while forming the second layer before drying the first layer when manufacturing the electrode for the secondary battery in which the first layer and the second layer are laminated on the current collector. A method for manufacturing an electrode used as a positive electrode and a negative electrode of a secondary battery according to the present invention comprises applying a first layer slurry to a surface of a current collector, applying a second layer slurry on the first layer slurry before the first layer slurry is dried, and drying the first layer slurry and the second layer slurry after applying the first layer slurry and the second layer slurry to obtain a laminated structure in which a first layer and a second layer are laminated in this order on the current collector. A viscosity of the first layer slurry is 12000 mPa·s or more, and/or a viscosity of the second layer slurry is 4000 mPa·s or more when the viscosities of the first layer slurry and the second layer slurry are measured at 25° C. with a shear rate of 1/sec.

Abstract: Provided is a secondary battery which uses a heat generating reaction of the redox shuttle agent to achieve stopping a function of fee battery by blocking ion conduction and rapidly increasing an internal resistance by means of volatilized non-aqueous solvent when an abnormality such as overcharge occurs. A secondary battery 1 comprises a battery element comprising a positive electrode 11, a negative electrode 12, a separator 13, and an electrolytic solution, and a casing sealing the battery element. The electrolytic solution comprises a redox shuttle agent and an organic solvent having a boiling point of 125° C. or less. The separator 13 comprises aramid fiber assembly, aramid microporous structure, polyimide microporous structure or polyphenylenesulfide microporous structure, and polyphenylenesulfide, and has an average void size of 0.1 μm or more.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a lithium secondary battery having a positive electrode comprising a positive electrode active material capable of absorbing and releasing lithium ions, a negative electrode comprising a negative electrode active material capable of absorbing and releasing lithium ions, and an electrolyte solution, wherein a positive electrode surface detection component comprises at least one negative secondary ion peak selected from CH3S2O6− and CHS2O4−, and further comprises a negative secondary ion peak of SO3—, wherein the positive electrode surface detection component is detected when a primary ion is irradiated on the surface of the positive electrode active material by a Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (TOF-SIMS) method. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a lithium secondary battery having excellent cycle characteristics.

The present exemplary embodiment is an electrolytic solution comprising a supporting salt, a nonaqueous solvent that dissolves the supporting salt, a cyclic sulfonic acid ester compound represented by predetermined formula (1), and an acid anhydride.
