    Abstract: An aerosol-generating device is provided, including: a cavity to receive an aerosol-generating article including an aerosol-forming substrate; and an induction heating arrangement including susceptor arrangement and an induction coil, the susceptor arrangement including at least two elongate susceptors, the susceptors being arranged in the cavity, the susceptor arrangement having a flared shape at a downstream end, and an upstream end of each susceptor being attached to a base of the cavity. A system including the an aerosol-generating device and an aerosol-generating article is also provided.

    Abstract: An aerosol-generating device is provided, including: a cavity to receive an aerosol-generating article including an aerosol-forming substrate, the cavity including a base, and the base including at least one air aperture; an induction heating arrangement including a susceptor arrangement and an induction coil, and being arranged at least partly surrounding or forming the cavity; and a thermally insulating element arranged between the susceptor arrangement and the induction coil, the thermally insulating element being sealingly attached to the base so as to prevent lateral airflow in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the device into the cavity at the base of the cavity, and one or more sidewalls of the susceptor arrangement are permeable and configured for lateral airflow to enter the cavity in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the device.

    Abstract: A case for an aerosol-generating device is provided, including: a case housing; a holder to receive the device and being movable with respect to the case housing between a closed position in which removal of the device from the holder is prevented and a docking position in which the device is removable; a case power supply within the case housing; a case electrical connector to supply power to the device received within the holder; a charging connector to receive power from an external power supply; a sensor to sense a position of the holder and to generate a signal indicative of the position; and a controller to receive the signal from the sensor, supply power to the case power supply when the signal indicates the holder is the closed position, and supply power when the signal indicates the holder is in the docking position. A charging system is also provided.
