    摘要: In some embodiments, a method and routing system parameterize a routing policy and apply the parameterized-routing policy to a route. Parameters are assigned to at least some policy statements of the policy. The parameterized policy may be called with parameters stored in a parameter table. In some embodiments, common blocks of the policy may be identified and assigned parameter sets. A commonized routing policy may be reused within more than one policy. In some embodiments, a method and routing system may evaluate a configuration file to determine relationships between route attributes. The relationships may be expressed in one or more mathematical functions, and when a route is received from a peer, the attributes of the route may be modified based on the mathematical functions. In some embodiments, a router and method for implementing routing policy and traffic engineering are provided. Routing policy may be implemented by performing a policy translation on a policy configuration to generate an internal-policy representation. Attribute-operator pairings of the internal-policy representation may be verified with one or more client dynamic load libraries (DLLs). When the attribute-operator pairings have been verified, the internal-policy representation may be compiled and stored in a system database. A client protocol may be notified that the routing policy has been modified.

The instant voice messaging system provides two operating modes: auto mode and prompt mode. In auto mode, the instant voice message is played on the destination telephone set without user intervention. According to another aspect, the instant voice messaging system provides a whisper mode of operation which allows voice messages to be sent and received when the user at the originating set and/or destination set is involved in another call.

    摘要: Methods and systems herein provide for efficiently resolving how a rasterizer responds to out of memory conditions when attempting to write raster data to a solid state memory. In one embodiment, a print controller determines that the solid state memory is no longer available for storing raster data. The print controller determines that a process is utilizing the shared memory to complete an operation, where completing the operation frees up a portion of the solid state memory. The print controller suspends the rasterizer from writing raster data to a hard disk, and waits for the process to complete the operation. The print controller then instructs the rasterizer to resume writing raster data to the solid state memory.

In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a job ticket controller that receives a print job and an associated job ticket, and processes the job ticket to identify a group of logical pages that share common attribute values. The job ticket controller caches a shared copy of the attribute values in memory for the group, and identifies static attribute values and dynamic attribute values in the shared copy. Responsive to a request to update a dynamic attribute value of a logical page that belongs to the group, the job ticket controller copies the dynamic attribute values to a separate copy, performs the update, and then provides the separate copy and the static attribute values of the shared copy in response to a request of attribute information of the logical page.

    摘要: In general, techniques are described for providing feedback loops for service engineered paths. A service node comprising an interface and a control unit may implement the techniques. The interface receives traffic via a path configured within a network to direct the traffic from an ingress network device of the path to the service node. The control unit applies one or more services to the traffic received via the path and generates service-specific information related to the application of the one or more services to the traffic. The interface then sends the service-specific information to at least one network device configured to forward the traffic via the path so that the at least one network device configured to forward the traffic via the path is able to adapt the path based on the service-specific information.
