摘要: There is provides an image forming apparatus including a main body control apparatus including a main body memory, a main body cassette, and additional cassettes different from the main body cassette and communicably coupled to the main body control apparatus. The main body memory has transmission queues that are provided for the respective additional cassettes communicably coupled to the main body control apparatus and temporarily store commands to be transmitted to the additional cassettes. When a plurality of commands are stored in each of the transmission queues, the main body control apparatus carries out for each of the transmission queues the process of generating a first combined command that is the combination of the plurality of commands stored in the transmission queue, and transmitting the first combined command to the additional cassette.

摘要: The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for managing multiple priority jobs at a multi-function device. The method includes receiving a first job at the multi-function device, wherein the first job is to be completed within a pre-defined time. Then, a second job is received at the multi-function device. Upon receiving the second job, a pre-defined algorithm is run to determine an execution order for the first job and the second job. Based on the pre-defined algorithm, either continue executing the first job or start executing the second job. This way, multiple jobs are managed at the multi-function device.

Communication with the mobile terminal is set to an unconnected state after execution of the printing processing is complete.

The communication relay device comprises: a communication path setting part that sets a communication path to send and receive job data of a job to and from the application server when the job is created at the image processing device or the application server; and a communication controller that sends and receives the job data to and from the application server over the communication path. When a new job is created at the image processing device or the application server as at least one communication path has been established with the application server, the communication path setting part sets either the new communication path or the existing communication path for the new job.

摘要: A document management system includes a document gateway disposed between a document provider and a printer. When the document gateway receives a print-ready document from the document provider, the document gateway determines whether to cause the document to be uploaded to a cloud-based document repository or to be printed to yield a hardcopy document. This determination is made based on an indication from a document consumer and using a consumer device such as a smartphone or customer card, that the document consumer wishes a digital copy of the document. If the document is uploaded, the consumer benefits from having documents uploaded to a centralized repository, while the vendor benefits from obtaining consumer profile information at negligible acquisition cost. Additional embodiments are disclosed.

摘要: A multifunction peripheral (100) is connected to a terminal device (200) via a communication link, receives image data transmitted from the terminal device (200) and forms an image based on the image data. Further, the multifunction peripheral (100) detects the state of connection of the communication link and thereby detects whether or not communication with the terminal device (200) is interrupted. If interruption of communication is detected while image data transmitted from the terminal device is being received, the multifunction peripheral suspends the unfinished state of reception of image data.
