Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for communicating uplink and downlink transmissions when a semi-statically configured scheduling occasion is overwritten by a slot format indicator. A method performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a control message from a base station (BS) activating a semi-static scheduling configuration, wherein the semi-static scheduling configuration indicates a plurality of configured grant (CG) symbols in which the UE is scheduled to transmit at least one uplink transmission to the BS. The method may further include receiving, from the BS, a slot format indicator (SFI) that overwrites a subset of CG symbols of the plurality of CG symbols to be downlink symbols, and taking one or more actions to communicate at least one downlink transmission in the downlink symbols.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes generating, by an upper analog media access control (MAC-A) layer of a protocol stack, a data packet with a header and a data field. The header indicates a neural network identifier (ID) and a request ID. The data field includes gradient data for a federated learning iteration. The method also includes transferring the data packet to lower layers of the protocol stack for transmission to a network device across a wireless network.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method may involve a receiving device selecting a receive beam for receiving a signal from a transmitting device based on a relative direction of the transmit beam used to transmit the signal. A first wireless device may receive, from a second wireless device, an indication of a first angular range. The first angular range may be associated with a set of transmit beams for the second wireless device and correspond to at least two transmit beams of the set of transmit beams. The first wireless device may select a receive beam from a set of receive beams based on the first angular range and receive a reference signal, from the second wireless device, using the selected receive beam. The first device may also transmit channel information, to second wireless device, based on the reference signal.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A device may precode a phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) sequence by applying a single discrete Fourier transform (DFT) to the PTRS sequence. The device may map the DFT precoded PTRS sequence to a subset of resources of a set of resources, and may transmit a signal carrying the DFT precoded PTRS sequence. Additionally or alternatively, the device may receive a signal that includes a DFT precoded PTRS sequence, demap the DFT precoded PTRS sequence to a subset of resources of a set of resources, decode the DFT precoded PTRS by applying a single inverse DFT (IDFT) to the DFT precoded PTRS sequence, estimate a phase error based on the decoding, and apply a phase error correction to a set of additional symbols associated with the signal based on the estimated phase error.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may perform a random access (RACH) procedure based on a selected synchronization signal block (SSB). During this RACH procedure, a base station may transmit physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) messages for UE RACH message handling. To receive PDCCH signaling for RACH Messages 2, 3, or 4 (Msg 2/3/4), the UE may identify a set of time resources used by the base station for transmitting SSBs that are not quasi-co-located (QCL) with the selected SSB. The UE may identify a Msg 2/3/4 search space that does not overlap with this identified set of resources, and may monitor this identified search space. The search space may correspond to a modified remaining minimum system information (RMSI) search space indicated by the base station, or a valid RMSI search space not indicated by the base station.

A method that may be performed by a UE includes sending, to the network from the UE, capability information, wherein: the capability information comprises at least one capability related to one or more TCI beam indication types, and at least one of the one or more TCI beam indication types comprises a multi-channel beam indication type, receiving, from the network, a configuration for the multi-channel beam indication type, wherein the configuration is based on the sent capability information, and communicating with the network based on the configured multi-channel beam indication type.

Abstract: In an integrated access backhaul (IAB) network, a third network node sends quality of service (QOS) mapping information to a first network node to configure an internet protocol (IP) header for a packet based on a traffic type and to transmit the packet. The third network node sends a mapping configuration to a second network node to map information in the IP header for the packet received in a first routing path from the first network node to a second routing path. The first network node receives the QoS mapping information and generates a packet associated with the traffic type and including an IP header, which is configured based on the received QoS mapping information. The first network node transmits the packet for routing to the second network node.
