Abstract:
An automotive vehicle includes a vehicle body and at least one reservoir containing a fire suppressant agent. A distribution system receives the fire suppression agent from the reservoir and conducts the agent to at least one location about the vehicle's body in response to the determination by a sensor system and controller that the vehicle has been subjected to a significant impact. The distribution system includes composite nozzles having pressure-configurable orifices.
Abstract:
A buoyant live bait container constructed to contain a quantity of live bait beneath the surface of a body of water via a tether line coupled to ballast anchor and/or nesting flotation collar. A twist-lock cover having a buoyant liner, flow ports and/or carry handle interlocks with a porous storage housing. A positive buoyancy collar can be fitted to the housing. Holes, ported appendages or a cross piece displaced from a concave housing bottom wall can support a tether line coupled to a ballasted anchor. The housing can also provide a longitudinal sidewall flotation member.
Abstract:
The present inventions provide systems and methods that allow employees to electively participate in an alternate compensation and benefits arrangement, such as a specialized statutory trust structure, which provides the same or substantially similar benefits as their employer's deferred compensation plan without the employer being exposed to the additional cost and reporting burdens imposed by the new or existing reporting and administrative rules.
The reservoir includes a discharge port which is positioned in part by a tensile member extending through the reservoir to an anchor incorporated in an external wall section of the reservoir.
Abstract:
An automotive fuel tank storage system includes a fuel storage tank installed in a vehicle and a barrier fluid tank containing a supply of barrier fluid. A distribution system connected with the barrier fluid tank and with the fuel storage tank distributes barrier fluid about the outer periphery of the fuel contained within the storage tank in the event of a collision event, creating a boundary layer of more viscous fluid which inhibits exfiltration of the fuel from the fuel storage tank.
Abstract:
An onboard fire suppression system for an automotive vehicle includes at least one reservoir containing a fire suppressant agent and a propellant, operatively associated with the reservoir, for expelling the fire suppressant agent from the reservoir. A distribution system for receiving fire suppressant agent expelled from said reservoir includes at least one feeder conduit which is connected with the reservoir by means of a quick connect coupler. The quick connect coupler facilitates assembly and servicing of the fire suppression system.
Abstract:
Methods useful for inhibiting growth of a variety of microbes including bacteria and fungi are disclosed. The methods involve contacting a microbe with an inhibitory amount of a zinc chelate. Methods useful for preserving a consumable product are also disclosed.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to the field of digital information distribution. The last half-century has sen a manifold increase in the availability of information in a digital format. Such digital information, once created, can be copied any number of times without degradation of the original copy of the information. Furthermore, the information once digitized can, in theory, have an infinite lifetime. The present disclosure addresses the need to distribute digital information through various commercial transactions, wherein the lifetime of the distributed digital information is limited to a predetermined period of time. The present disclosure discloses systems and methods for the distribution of digital information on limited life optical media, wherein the limited life optical media includes a mechanism that physically and/or chemically limits the effective life of the digital information.

Abstract:
A pharmaceutical composition comprising a fluoroquinolone such as ciprofloxacin, cyclodextrin, and a hydroxy acid is described. The composition may be an aqueous composition, with such aqueous compositions preferably having a pH between 5 and 7. In some preferred embodiments, the composition further comprises a soluble polymer.
