    摘要: A medical connector for delivering a liquid at a high flow rate to a patient. The connector includes a gas inlet passage that is configured for connecting to a source of pressurized gas, a spike configured for piercing a stopper of a container, and a liquid outlet passage in fluid communication with the spike. The liquid outlet passage is configured for connecting to tubing through which the liquid in the container can be administered to a patient. The spike has a shield having a first closed end and a second open end such that the first closed end is breakable by the spike when the spike is inserted through the stopper of the container, and the second open end has an annular elastomeric member that attaches to the spike via compressive pressure applied by the annular elastomeric member.

    摘要: A vortex reduction cap for use within a fluid holding vessel above a discharge port for discharging the fluid from the vessel is disclosed. The vortex reduction cap includes a top solid surface greater than or equal to the area of the discharge port. The vortex reduction cap includes one or more inlets to allow fluid to flow from the vessel to an internal volume of the vortex reduction cap and then to the discharge port in the vessel. A passive element is positioned within the internal volume of the vortex reduction cap so that the flow of fluids through the cap and towards the discharge port of the vessel will be redirected around the passive element.

    摘要: A reservoir for use in a water distribution system within a refrigeration device includes a container having a vessel portion terminating in a neck having an opening, and a cap sealingly engaging the neck. The cap has an internal surface in communication with an interior of the vessel portion, an external surface opposite the internal surface, an inlet aperture and an outlet aperture through the cap in fluid communication with the container opening, and an inlet tube in fluid communication with the inlet aperture extending from the external surface. The cap may sealingly engage the neck by only one seal. The cap may further include an outlet tube in fluid communication with the outlet aperture extending from the external surface. In certain embodiments, a dip tube may be provided in fluid communication with the outlet aperture extending from the internal surface into the vessel portion.

    摘要: A transmission in a vehicle includes a gearbox and a differential. Torque is transferred from an output of the gearbox to an input of the differential via a drive member. This transfers torque to enable the differential to distribute the torque amongst wheels of the vehicle. A transmission housing and a torque converter housing are mounted to one another to at least partially house the gearbox and the differential, respectively. A transmission fluid sump is provided between the housings where transmission fluid gathers. A fluid pump pressurizes the fluid and distributes it amongst working parts in the transmission. A baffle assembly partially contains the drive member and segregates the fluid sump from the drive member. One of the baffles in the assembly includes a lip engaging a portion of an outer flange of the pump to provide a seal between the fluid pump and components within the transmission.
