Additionally, when the upper is in a collapsed state, the seam becomes the widest points of the article of footwear and defines the perimeter of the article of footwear.

The tread element can be formed by compressing a rubber block between various molding members to liquefy and cause the resulting rubber material to flow into at least one lug cavity disposed near the matrix lining. The rubber material eventually enters the lug cavity and becomes attached to the matrix lining.

Each aperture receives a corresponding one of the electrical bus members. Resilient protrusions extend outwardly from the receiving portion and are operable between an undeflected position in which the resilient protrusion secures the electrical connector on such electrical bus member, and a deflected position in which the resilient protrusion is deflected away from the electrical connector in order that the electrical connector is removable from such electrical bus member.

An electrically conductive lug for use with a meter socket for a watt-hour meter, which permits the meter to have integral line and load buses. The lug provides an electrical connection between the meter socket and each wire, and it provides mechanical support for the wire. Because the lug serves as both a supporting and a conducting device, the invention eliminates the need for separate wire connectors, bussing, molded insulative bus supports and/or additional connecting lugs. Therefore, the numerous parts previously susceptible to damage or failure under normal operation loads, were eliminated, making construction of the meter assembly more efficient.

A method and apparatus for providing a universal electrical interface between an aircraft and an associated store includes an aircraft interface and a store interface for bidirectionally communicating with the aircraft according to a first predetermined format and with the associated store according to a second predetermined format, respectively, as well as a universal signal conditioner for selectively processing signals received by both the aircraft interface and the store interface. The selective processing includes translating the signals received by the aircraft interface to the second predetermined format of the associated store and translating signals received by the store interface to the first predetermined format of the aircraft. The universal electrical interface also determines the type of aircraft from a number of predetermined types of aircraft, each of which is adapted to process signals according to a different predetermined format. By providing such selective processing of signals of different formats, each of the different types of aircraft can bidirectionally communicate, according to the predetermined format that the aircraft is adapted to process, with the associated store.
