Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for transmitting uplink (UL) data in a wireless communication system. A method includes receiving configuration information for a grant-free UL transmission, the configuration information including information on a number of repetitive transmissions and period information; identifying a plurality of resources for the repetitive transmissions in a period based on the configuration information; identifying a resource for an initial transmission of the UL data based on a value of a redundancy version (RV) associated with the resource; and performing the initial transmission of the UL data on the identified resource. A number of former resources F are capable of being used for the initial transmission of the UL data among the plurality of resources for the repetitive transmissions. The number of the former resources F is determined based on the number of the repetitive transmissions.

Abstract: An operation method of a terminal in a wireless communication system is provided. The operation method includes receiving a subcarrier spacing configuration and cyclic prefix information from a base station through higher layer signaling; and when the subcarrier spacing configuration indicates subcarrier spacing of 60 kHz and the cyclic prefix information indicates an extended cyclic prefix, determining a slot format with the extended cyclic prefix based on a slot format with a normal cyclic prefix.

The synchronization method of a UE includes detecting a first synchronization signal from a signal received from a BS, detecting repeatedly receivable one or more synchronization signals after the first synchronization signal is detected, based on each of blocks corresponding to a preset synchronization signal mapping pattern on time-frequency resources, combining the one or more synchronization signals, and establishing synchronization with the BS based on a block corresponding to a highest strength of the combined one or more synchronization signals, among the blocks.

Abstract: A communication method for a channel access in a wireless communication system and an apparatus therefor are provided. The communication method includes an evolved NodeB (eNB) that transmits data to a user equipment (UE) through a licensed band, and determines whether an unlicensed band channel is in an idle state during a first channel sensing duration. If the unlicensed band channel is in the idle state, the eNB transmits data to the UE through an unlicensed band during a first channel occupying duration, a second channel sensing duration, and a second channel occupying duration. In the method, a sum of the first channel occupying duration, the second channel sensing duration, and the second channel occupying duration is equal to or less than a certain time.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses in a communication system is provided. One or more configurations associated with an aperiodic channel state information (CSI) report are received from a base station via higher layer signaling. Downlink control information (DCI) including a CSI request field indicating a configuration among the one or more configurations is received from the base station. The aperiodic CSI report is transmitted to the base station based on the configuration. In case that a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) is used to map the configuration to a value of the CSI request field based on a number of the one or more configurations and a size of the CSI request field, the CSI request field indicates the configuration from at least one configuration selected via the MAC CE.
