    摘要: A computer-implemented method and system for checking a chemical name. The method tokenizes the chemical name to obtain corresponding tokens; checks the chemical name according to the chemical association between chemical compositions represented by the tokens; and if the chemical name does not pass the check, replaces at least part of tokens of the chemical name that does not pass the check, and repeats the checking step. The system and method can not only help users to find and correct errors in spelling a chemical name but also check the entire chemical name at the level of chemical associations. Hence, not only chemical names that are incorrectly spelled but also ones that do not conform to chemical rules can be found, and significant help is provided to users for correcting chemical names.

The knowledge base stores a plurality of terms and information relating to each term, and the document database stores a plurality of documents. The steps include acquiring terms in which a user has interest; extracting information relating to the terms in which the user has interest from the knowledge base in order to display the information in a first display part of a user interface; and extracting documents containing the terms in which the user has interest from the document database in order to display a list of extracted documents in a second display part of the user interface.

    摘要: An implementation of a technology, described herein, for relevance-feedback, content-based facilitating accurate and efficient image retrieval minimizes the number of iterations for user feedback regarding the semantic relevance of exemplary images while maximizing the resulting relevance of each iteration. One technique for accomplishing this is to use a Bayesian classifier to treat positive and negative feedback examples with different strategies. In addition, query refinement techniques are applied to pinpoint the users' intended queries with respect to their feedbacks. These techniques further enhance the accuracy and usability of relevance feedback. This abstract itself is not intended to limit the scope of this patent. The scope of the present invention is pointed out in the appending claims.
