摘要: The present invention comprises a Schema Generation Program (SGP) and Schema Update Program (SUP). The SGP creates an initial XML Schema and copies the database into a hashtable. At the occurrence of a query interval, the SGP compares the database to the hashtable. If the database is identical to the hashtable, then the SGP resets the query interval and repeats the comparison. If the database and the hashtable are not identical, then the SGP deletes the old hashtable, stores a copy of the database as a new hashtable, and creates a new XML Schema. The XML Schema is stored in the web server so that a registered party may access the XML Schema and check the validity of a group of data before sending the data to the web server as a proposed addition to the database. The SUP notifies registered parties of updates to the XML Schema.

摘要: Text regions of natural language embedded in images are automatically translated via a clipboard buffer during a cut-and-paste command according to an isolation rule defining one or more types of image elements to be isolated, by examining the image elements, responsive to meeting the isolation rule, transferring the image element from the clipboard to an isolation store, disabling pasting of the image element; recognizing text within the isolated image; determining a natural language in which the recognized text is expressed; performing natural language translation of the recognized text into a user-specified destination natural language; producing image data for the translated text; overlaying the image data onto the embedded text in the isolated image element; and pasting the modified image element from the isolation store to a user-designated destination points within a destination computer file.

摘要: A system and method for preventing user-input text strings of illegal lengths from being submitted to a database where, for each character in the string, a character length is determined in quantities of digital units of storage according to an encoding schema, the character lengths are accumulated into a total string length, also measured in digital units of storage, and the total string length is compared to one or more database input field requirements such as non-null and maximum length specifications. If a limit is not met, the system and method are suitably disposed in a manner to block or prevent submission of the user-input string to the database. Overflow sub-strings are extracted and stored from input strings which exceed the input length limit, and are further processed to yield additional storage and resource allocation.

摘要: A Centralized Authentication & Authorization (CAA) system that facilitates secure communication between service clients and service providers. CAA comprises a Service Request Filter (SRF), a Service Client Authentication Program (SCAP), a Service Authorization Program (SAP), and an Authorization Database (ADB). The SRF intercepts service requests, extracts the service client's identifier from a digital certificate attached to the request, and stores the identifier in memory accessible to service providers. In the preferred embodiment, the SRF forwards the service request to a web service manager. The web service manager invokes SCAP. SCAP matches the identifier with a record stored in ADB. SAP queries ADB to determine if the service request is valid for the service client. If the service request is valid, SAP authorizes the service request and the appropriate service provider processes the service request.

摘要: A weighted search program is disclosed. The weighted search program may be integrated into a translation program, or the weighted search program may be used independently with an available search engine. When integrated with the translation program, setting and weighting may be combined in a single search. In one embodiment, the weighting would be used in conjunction with a Pin Yin translation program so that a user could set some terms, and allocate a search weight to the remaining terms. The invention may be applied independently in Internet searching so that a user can apply weights to multiple elements of a search term.

摘要: An email update system dynamically updates the content of an email when the originator of an email has sent the email, and the originator later determines that the email requires editing. The updating may take place transparent to the recipient and without the introduction of duplicative content into the recipient's email program. The email update system comprises a delta engine program and a delta temporary storage in a sender's computer, a queue manager program and an intermediate email queue in a server computer, and a recipient email retrieval program in a recipient's computer.

摘要: Image or graphic elements such as pictures, icons and clip art, are intercepted during transfer from a computer source to a computer destination, such as during a cut-and-paste operation. Embedded text within the intercepted element is optically recognized, and encoded text is extracted. It is determined if the language of the text matches a desired language of the destination. If not, a translation of the optically-recognized text data is performed, and the translated text data is rendered into image data. The image data is then substituted into the intercepted element to overlay or replace the original embedded text, thereby “translating” the image or graphic element to a desired destination language. The modified image or graphic element is then delivered to the destination, such as a document, program, file or data structure.

摘要: National language support for an application is provided by recording translations of a text string in corresponding different languages in a single property file so as to allow display of the translations in the property file. One of the translations of the text string recorded in the property file is selected for use by an application based on a locale associated with the execution of the application and the selected one of the translations is used in the execution of the application.

摘要: The invention is an induction heating system comprising a first article having a metallic mesh lining; and a second article having a coil for receiving an alternating electrical current; wherein the coil induces a current in the metallic mesh lining when the second pad is placed in close proximity to the first pad and the coil receives an alternating electrical current; whereby the current induced in the metallic mesh lining causes the metallic mesh lining to generate heat that can be applied to a body through contact with the first article. Additionally, this inventive induction heating system may further comprise a controller circuit in the second article for detecting an eddy current in the coil and operating a switch to turn the alternating electrical current off when no eddy current is detected in the coil.
