    摘要: To provide an image generation apparatus that generates a visually-favorable target video sequence in color using input video sequences of color components and that is least likely to have an insufficient transfer rate when obtaining the input video sequences. The image generation apparatus includes: an image receiving unit (101) that receives, as the plurality of input video sequences, a plurality of video sequences that are obtained by shooting the same subject with a phase difference being set between frame exposure periods of the different color components; and a color image integration unit (103) that generates the target video sequence whose frame cycle is shorter than each of the frame exposure periods of the input video sequences, by reducing a difference between a frame image of the input video sequence of each color component and a sum of a plurality of frame images of the target video sequence which are included in a period that corresponds to the frame image of the input video sequence.

    摘要: Provided is an image generation apparatus that generates a new video sequence from video sequences including image regions for which corresponding point detection and motion estimation cannot be performed correctly. The image generation apparatus includes: an exposure control unit which controls an image capturing apparatus to temporally change an exposure amount in a part of an exposure period; an image receiving unit which receives the first video sequence and the second video sequence captured under the control of the exposure control unit; an image integration unit which generates, from these video sequences, the new video sequence having a resolution equal to or higher than the second resolution, at a frame rate equal to or higher than the first video sequence. The second video sequence has higher resolution than the first video sequence, and the second video sequence has a frame exposure time period longer than the first video sequence.

    摘要: An image processing apparatus and method is provided to generate a moving picture with a high resolution, a high frame rate and a high SNR by eliminating a decrease in SNR even if the intensity of incoming light has been halved by a half mirror. The apparatus generates a multi-color moving picture based on first and second moving pictures, which respectively have first and second frame rates (where the second rate is higher than the first rate) and are comprised of pictures representing a first color component and pictures representing a second color component different from the first color component. The resolution of the second moving picture is equal to or lower than that of the first moving picture. The apparatus includes: a first image synthesizing section, which generates, based on the data of the first and second moving pictures, a synthetic picture by modifying some of the pictures that form the first moving picture and which outputs a synthesized moving picture corresponding to the first moving picture at a higher frame rate than the first frame rate by using the first moving picture and the synthetic picture; and a second image synthesizing section, which receives and synthesizes together the synthesized moving picture and the second moving picture, thereby generating a multi-color moving picture including the first and second color components.

    摘要: The present invention relates to an image processing apparatus in which gradation correction on each partial region is performed between an image input means and an edge extracting means so that an edge of a region within an image is accurately extracted. An image dividing means 2, which had already learned a relationship between the condition of an image and the necessity of image division so as to judge the condition of the image based on learning results and divide the image appropriately, divides an input image from an image input means 1 into a plurality of image blocks. An image correction information extracting means 3 calculates correction information on each image block. A gradation correction means 4, which had already learned a relationship between correction information and non-linear correction curves to judge correction information based on learning results and perform gradation correction on a target image block using a selected curve, performs gradation correction and enhances an edge which is to be extracted. An image synthesizing means 5 recombines the respective corrected image blocks. An edge extracting means 6 extracts an edge from a synthesized image. An image output means 7 outputs an edge image.
