摘要: A stereoscopic image capture device includes a first image sensor, a second image sensor, a first frame timer, and a second frame timer. The first and second frame timers are different frame timers. The first image sensor includes a first plurality of rows of pixels. The second image sensor includes a second plurality of rows of pixels. The first and second image sensors can be separate devices or different areas of a sensor region in an integrated circuit. The first frame timer is coupled to the first image sensor to provide image capture timing signals to the first image sensor. The second frame timer coupled to the second image sensor to provide image capture timing signals to the second image sensor.

摘要: Systems and methods for extended color processing on Pelican array cameras in accordance with embodiments of the invention are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method of generating a high resolution image includes obtaining input images, where a first set of images includes information in a first band of visible wavelengths and a second set of images includes information in a second band of visible wavelengths and non-visible wavelengths, determining an initial estimate by combining the first set of images into a first fused image, combining the second set of images into a second fused image, spatially registering the fused images, denoising the fused images using bilateral filters, normalizing the second fused image in the photometric reference space of the first fused image, combining the fused images, determining a high resolution image that when mapped through a forward imaging transformation matches the input images within at least one predetermined criterion.

The endoscopic system includes a light engine having an illumination source generating one or more pulses of electromagnetic radiation and a lumen transmitting one or more pulses of electromagnetic radiation to a distal tip of an endoscope.

摘要: Multifunction autofocus for automated microscopy includes automatic coarse focusing of an automated microscope by reflective positioning, followed by automatic image-based autofocusing of the automated microscope performed in reference to a coarse focus position. In some aspects, the image-based autofocusing utilizes astigmatism in microscope optics for multi-planar image acquisition along a Z axis direction of a microscope. In some other aspects, the image-based autofocusing utilizes astigmatism in microscope optics in combination with chromatic aberration for multi-planar image acquisition along the Z axis direction.

摘要: According to one embodiment, an imaging apparatus includes an image sensor, image generation circuitry, calculation circuitry and superimposition circuitry. The image generation circuitry successively generates a first image and a second image. The calculation circuitry calculates a first parameter to allow brightness of the first image to be equal to or close to a predetermined value, and calculates a second parameter relating to brightness of the second image based on the first parameter and a predetermined ratio. The superimposition circuitry generates a composite image by superimposing the second image in which the brightness is adjusted using the second parameter onto the first image in which the brightness is adjusted using the first parameter.

摘要: Matching color information in an optical system can include splitting an image forming beam into a bright intensity beam and a dark intensity beam, detecting, using multiple sensors, a color value for a light component from the bright intensity beam and the dark intensity beam, determining color values for the remaining light components associated with the bright intensity beam and the dark intensity beam, and transforming the color values associated with the dark intensity beam to calibrate the color values of the dark intensity beam against the color values of the light intensity beam, the color values of the light intensity beam including color inaccuracies.
