    摘要： The invention relates to a cutting tool especially useful for cut-off, threading and grooving operations. The tool includes a massive block-like body with serrations along one or both sides. An adjustable plate with interengaging complemental serrations is mounted on the side of the body and retained by bolts which transfix the plate and anchor in the body. The plate has a top recess to receive short cutting elements backed up by a similarly shaped rod. A broached out-of-round hole is cut into the body parallel to the serrated wall to receive at one end a threaded anchor nut and at the other end a shank of a clamp bar.

    摘要： A cut-off tool holder adapted to be swivelly mounted on a lathe turret, includes a block supporting an elongated cutting tool. A spring-loaded overhead clamping lid, releasably secured to the supporting block, firmly holds the cutting tool in place. The lid is pivotable on a cylinder which is disposed in juxtaposed hollowed-out portions of the support block and lid, in parallel alignment with the orientation of the cutting tool. The cylinder comprises a center section intermediate a pair of adjoining end sections of reduced diameter.

The tool holder comprises a tool body having a passage for a drawbar which holds the insert in a cutting position on the body. The toolholder assembly includes a holder base receiving a cylindrical shank of a tool-holder on the front of which is mounted any one of a variety of tools, such as dovetail, circular, flat, cut-off, shaving, knurling, burnishing, stenciling, single roll threading, recessing and boring tools. Such toolholder assembly provides standardized mounting heights for all such types of tools and provides for straight or off-set mounting of the toolholder relative to a perpendicular or in line to the spindle axis.
