    摘要： A plate member of a cutting tool has two side surfaces being substantially rectangular in shape, a top surface and a bottom surface extending in a direction along a long side of the rectangle, and two end surfaces in a short-side direction. A cutting edge is located on the side of one of the end surfaces. One of the side surfaces is a curved surface bulging outward. The bottom surface has an inclined portion which is inclined with respect to the top surface. The plate member is held by a tool block having a bottom restraining surface which comes into contact with the bottom surface, and is fastened to the tool block by using a clamp member having a top restraining surface which comes into contact with the top surface of the plate member.

    摘要： A cutting tool includes a two-way indexable cutting insert retained in a tool holder by a clamping member. The cutting insert has a tetrahedral basic shape and includes two cutting edges at opposite ends of thereof. The insert holder includes a forwardly located mounting portion that includes three spaced apart mounting jaws which together define an insert receiving pocket having a pocket opening. The clamping member is attached to the insert holder body so that a clamping portion of the clamping member protrudes into the pocket opening. When the cutting insert is releasably attached to the insert holder in a fastened position of a cutting tool, the cutting insert is located in the insert receiving pocket and clampingly engaged therein by the clamping portion.

    摘要： A parting blade includes an internal cooling agent supply and has two substantially plane-parallel lateral faces and a continuous transversal bore connected to a cooling agent channel that runs parallel to the lateral faces in the interior of the parting blade. In order to provide a parting blade that has no projection on one side, a stopper is provided having two substantially parallel end faces and a circumferential face that connects the end faces. The stopper can be inserted into the transversal bore of the parting blade, thereby sealing the transversal bore relative to at least one lateral face of the parting blade. The stopper terminates without protruding over the sealed lateral face, flush with the lateral face. The stopper has an opening on both the end face and the circumferential face. The openings are connected to one another in the interior of the stopper to connect the cooling agent channel to a cooling agent source.

The tool has a cutting insert with at least one cutting edge, a holder having a shank, and a cutting insert receptacle, wherein the cutting insert receptacle is arranged in a region of a workpiece-side end face of the shank, and the cutting insert is disposed in the cutting insert receptacle. The holder has a coolant bore, which opens out into a plurality of coolant outlets. The plurality of coolant outlets are arranged on the workpiece-side end face of the shank, alongside the cutting insert receptacle, and are oriented such that coolant is discharged towards the cutting insert. At least some of the coolant outlets lie in a coolant outlet plane which runs parallel to and offset from a cutting insert plane running through the cutting insert receptacle, where the coolant outlet plane and the cutting insert plane run parallel to the longitudinal direction of the shank.
