    摘要: Pipe machining apparatuses, such as traveling pipe cutters, are provided. One such pipe machining apparatus may cut or bevel a hollow vessel while traveling around the vessel, and include a frame including a top end and a bottom end with the bottom end adjacent an outer surface of the vessel. The apparatus also includes a cable wrapped around the vessel and a pair of rollers coupled to the frame with each roller defining a groove therein for receiving the cable. Each roller rotates about an axis that extends generally parallel to a central longitudinal axis of the vessel. The cable is positioned in each groove of the pair of rollers and each axis is positioned between the cable and the outer surface of the vessel. The cable is tensioned to provide a force on the frame in a direction toward the outer surface of the vessel.

    摘要: A tube cutter having a relative movement generating portion is disclosed. It includes a relative movement generating portion, a tube cutting base and a tube cutting slider. The manual input portion of the relative movement generating portion is easy to be held by user's hand. A cutting blade, two auxiliary rollers and a feeding spring are disposed between the tube cutting base and the tube cutting slider. After the user applying a holding force, the pushing plate will compress the spring in the tube cutting slider so that the cutting blade feeds in. In case the applying force is too large, the entire tube cutting base and the cutting slider will be locked via the stopping plate. So, it can avoid any over-applying force to destroy the pipe to be cut. This invention is easy to clamp the pipe tightly. It can avoid the over-applying force. It can automatically feed in. And, it can feed in by holding force of hand.

    摘要: A hand operated tubing cutter adapted to apply a selectable force to tubing to be cut, with the cutter having an elongate, substantially "C" shaped body member and defining a recess for receiving a piece of tubing to be cut. A spaced pair of rollers is operatively mounted in the central recess, directly against which rollers a piece of tubing to be cut is to be placed. An elongate cavity is disposed in the body member in substantial alignment with the pair of rollers, and an elongate ram member is slidably disposed in a non-rotatable manner in the elongate cavity, one end of which ram member supports a cutter wheel. The cutter wheel is rotatably supported in an opposed relationship to the rollers, and a rotatable adjustment device is located on the body member at a location comparatively remote form the rollers. A compression spring is disposed in the body member and operably interconnected with the ram member. The rotatable adjustment device is selectively rotatable to control the positioning of the ram member and therefore the positioning of the cutter wheel with respect to the rollers. The selective rotation of the rotatable adjustment device also modifies the force applied to the ram member by the spring, and therefore the force applied to the cutter wheel, thereby selectively controlling the amount of force consistently applied by the cutter wheel during the cutting of tubing residing on the rollers.

    摘要: The hand held device of the invention is adapted for cutting, reaming and bending tubing. The device includes as discussed above a bender body member having a tubing guide track, a bender bracket having a bender flange, a rotatable cutting wheel, and a reaming tool. The bender bracket is connected to the bender body member. The reaming tool is connected to the bender body member. The rotatable cutting wheel is supported by the body member. The bender flange is positioned above the tubing guide track so that tubing fed beneath the bender flange is held by the bender flange as the tubing is bent into the tubing guide track. The upper work surface of the tubing guide track is semicircular in cross section. The tubing guide track is arced. The bender flange has a tubing engaging portion which is semicircular in cross-section. A work portion of the tubing is positioned in the tubing guide track beneath the tubing engaging portion of the bender flange. The operator then bends the tubing into the tubing guide track by forcing the tubing toward the tubing guide track. The force is applied at a point adjacent to the tubing guide track and at the end of the track opposite to the bender flange.

The feeding means for advancing the cutting tool is responsive to rotation of the carrier assembly about the frame. The apparatus includes means for selectively measuring the length of the tubing to be severed and means for supporting the tubing internally while applying separation forces to the inside thereof at a circumferentially extending weakened portion to cause the same to sever at the weakened portion. The apparatus also includes means for producing a circumferentially extending weakened portion in the tubing.
